"Dear Everyone,
I had been battling this terrible cold for days and had actually lost my voice. As I got up to "Acton Rehabilitation Center" I prayed for the Lord to help me share the gospel effectively (in spite of my lost voice). When I finally got there, I realized where I was, a last place of sorts for people who had fallen victim to drugs. The place was miles away from any major city, a very dark place. As I left my car to speak, I prayed again for the Lord's help, this time not so much for my voice but for my safety. I was then greeted by 2 large Christian brothers who ushered me around into the main speaking room where a mixed crowd of 100 inmates awaited (extremely low security risk, Im just a baby). I introduced myself as a "Forgiven Sinner" (this placed them at ease) and I then asked them to pray with me. Once I began to speak I knew God's Holy Spirit was there. But 1/2 way through speaking, 2 woman in the front row began talking out loud and laughing (talk about a typical distraction). And then of course, the next thing that happens before the invitation to Jesus, the sound system almost exploded in a loud sheer. After speaking so many times you kind of get used to dealing with the usual stumbling blocks from the enemy (I praise the Lord for your prayers). Well as God is God, 50+ people humbled themselves before God's Throne of Grace and asked God to forgive them and prayed to receive Jesus Christ as Lord as Savior. Is that not the best news ever!!! I handed each person a "Gospel of John" booklet and a "4 Spiritual Laws" booklet! Please pray for them as I know they surely need your prayers. As I left, a young man came to me looked into my eyes, nodded his head affirming me and simply walked away. I do not know His name but I have now prayed for the young man 3-4 times. I share this with you to remind you that with God all things are possible and that God is always at work, in all places. I can also tell you that your prayers are extremely important and effective, so please keep keep keep praying for us :-) It is kind of weird but I truly enjoyed going into the middle of "no where" late at night, and simply preaching the gospel (I could do this every night). The Lord is way too good to me, giving me opportunities that I do not deserve :-)
