Righteousness of God

Alex and Jilbert walked into our Temecula store today just checking it out. I greeted them and started showing the them "Shocking Truth" T-Shirt, it has Galatians 2:21 on it.

I read it to them and asked if they understood what it was saying. They didn't really understand. They both said that they wanted to go to heaven when they died and thought that they just had to be a good person in order to get there. I explained using the verse on the shirt that we can not get to heaven on our own righteousness, because that would mean we would have to be perfect. I took them through God's Law and showed them how they had sinned against God and that they would be judge. They both knew that if they were that they would be sent to Hell and not heaven. I told them that Jesus Christ came into the world and lived a perfect life and then died on a cross for the sins of His children. Then He rose from the grave 3 days later and never died again and is in heaven right now. They thought that was cool, that Jesus was alive. I explained that the bible teaches that they need to ask for forgiveness and repent of their sins and God would forgive them and save them.

They both said that they wanted forgiveness and wanted to follow Christ. I prayed for them and they ask God to forgive them. Pray that they would get plugged into a church. Praise God that He is so gracious to save sinners.
