It surrounds us, hate and sin. Its hard not to get drawn into the flame of the mistaken, the greed, the lust, the gluttony, you name it, we are all apart of it. It doesn't matter how much you really think goes on around here, it happens. You can almost see the evil walking the streets among us.
For where there is triumph and worry, there is also faith and healing. God also shows his face through us, and among us. We need to allow ourselves to be one with God, and repent to all the sins and mistakes that were behind us. Yes, we will fall; yes, we will sin. That's why God wants us to come to him for EVERYTHING, and try our best to be one with him.
Don't allow worry to fill your mind because that also leads to sin. Jesus told us in Matthew 6 that we should not worry because His plans are far better than we can fathom. We must also fellowship and lift each other up in prayer, and not bring each other down with hatred and guilt. Retaliation doesn't get you anywhere either, for that God said to leave it be and forgive, and God will take care of the rest. We only battle situations if God calls us upon them, we do not take care what is sin in our hearts. (Romans 12.)
So I pray for this generation that God will take it over, and allow us to live IN HIM, and not by Him. He wants to be apart of our lives, he wants us to reach his ultimate goal, and he wants us to run with the calling he has in our lives. For we will be fully rewarded for doing his great deeds.
Lord,
I just pray that we can continue to understand your word and to breathe it in like air, and spit out the sin and the devil and leave him in the pavement. God, lift up this generation in the name of Jesus, we pray that we can worship you and that you can rejoice in us. In you're name we pray.
AMEN.
Matthew 6:33-34
Romans 12:17-21
