A Married Couple Finds Christ

"A young lady decked out in pink was checking out a few items in the store. Instantly, I felt like I should share the gospel, but I kept stumbling over my words. Opting for a way out, I asked how I could pray for her. She started explaining some requests and then her fiancee walked in, dropped the f bomb, but started profusely apologizing once he found out what the store was. I prayed for them, and once I said goodbye to them I felt very bad for not sharing the gospel.

But instead of walking out of the store they stopped to check out some guy jackets; I saw this as my chance. I hooked the guy up in the fitting room with some clothes. With his fiancee just outside the fitting room, and all on her own, she started asking how anyone really knows they are going to heaven. I was blown away; I didn't prime the conversation at all. I told her, "Funny you should ask that, let me show you." I grabbed our "why fresh" shirt, and showed her what God says about her and going to heaven.

Once I finished explaining the verses her fiancee came out, and I explained it all over again to him. They both said that when they were younger they use to go to church, but had fallen away. I explained that they could make a choice right then and there, in the mall, as a couple to accept Jesus into their hearts, and start their lives all over. They wanted to! They repeated a prayer with me and instantly felt amazing and so much better. Justin was so amazed at how much better he felt on the inside. I challenged him to step up as the man in the relationship and be diligent in getting plugged in to a good church; he received my advice really well. "
