My 15 yr old daughter asked for a Purity Ring. Without hesitation, I said, "Yes"! She picked it out and once it arrived I did not simply give it to her like it was some piece of jewelry, for it is not.

She and I Dad sat down and discussed what a Purity Ring means. She looks at this ring as a reminder to her, and a symbol to others of her comittment to walk uprightly for Jesus, not simply a promise to be sexually pure. After our discussion we prayed together and she went off to show Mom!

My daughter was expecting a piece of jewelry, and received token of love and comittment. Overall, it was a very good day...
