We bought the Shield Cross for my son''''s thirteenth birthday. We had a "Becoming A Man" ceremony, with influential men in his life dad, uncles, grandfather, church small group teacher all asking him the question, "Do you want to be a man?", followed by a short walk with him where they discussed an aspect of becoming a man. The Shield Cross dog tag touched on most of the important aspects of what we believe a man of God is.
