My son, whom I purchased this ring for will be departing in August to start his 4 year commitment to the ARMY. I contacted on of his recruiting officers to ask about his ring. She told me because it is a religious symbol they can not FORCE him to remove it. It would be his choice. Then she asked me what was a PURITY RING. When I shared with her what it represented and about the classes we had, she was very impressed. And even more proud of my son than she had been. She admired him for keeping out of trouble and being leveled headed, and now she has even more admiration for him.
