Zach: Ok well I think I'm probably the only guy who has commented on this particular "debate" about this womans T-shirts message being to bold. Let me first just say that I have purchased the mens version of this shirt, and in no way do I regret it. I think the message is a very good message that isnt meant to condemn anyone, but just simply make people think. And the simple fact is that abortion IS murder, and exodus 20:13 DOES say You shall not murder, therefore abortion is without a doubt in my mind considered a sin. However, the womans version of this abortion is murder t-shirt misses a few very crucial and important key points that the mens version doesnt. On the back of the womans t-shirt, it just shows those two beginning scriptures on the top (Jeremiah 1:5 , Psalm 139: 13 - 14) and then it shows you the facts about abortion and then thats it. BUT on the back of the mens T-shirt it has 2 more scriptures after it show you the facts about abortion that explains how God love us all no matter what, and that our Lord and savior Jesus Christ will forgive us of ours sins if we just confess them. So my final conclusion: Do I think the shirt or the message on the shirt is wrong? Absolutely not. How could it be wrong? It has scriptures from the Bible written all over it! But do I think it was a little irresponsible for the designer of the womans version of the abortion is murder t-shirt to explain all the reasons why abortion is a sin, but leave out the part about how Jesus loves us and forgives us of all our sins as long as we confess them? Defiantly. It leaves the person who doesnt know Christ reads this shirt and thinking that God pretty much hates them. Which is obviously not the case! God loves and forgives everyone! Frank: I love this shirt. My boyfriend and I are both purchasing one. No where on this shirt does it say that God will hate you. And technically no one is forcing anything on anyone. It is just a sign basically. Giving great verses and facts. I love the message. Abortion is murder either way. Yes, maybe some women have too for reasons such as they may die. But that is such a small percent. Adoption is a great alternative, not death. God does forgive all for sins and again, this shirt does not state anywhere that HE will hate you. The message is bold yet informative. I love that it says abortion stops a beating heart. Some women don't even know they are pregnant and get abortions at the very latest times. The baby grows quicker than it may seem. I also love this shirt coming out now because of stem cell research. Getting the cells from the cord is just fine but from aborted fetuses and throwing them away. How sad is that. =[ this break thru in science and saving lives isn't so magnificant when you see all those who are killed to get the cells. Now, women who have cancer or there family members who have cancer can get pregnant and as simple as ever get the baby aborted for the stem cells. Its imemoral. Breaks my heart. Jennifer: I love this shirt. I am a 33 yr old married mother of 4 and was offered that "choice" when I found out I was pregnant with my oldest (I was 19). I was appalled that someone would assume I would not want my son because he was "inconvenient". I think this shirt is awesome. It is not a sugar coated cutesy shirt. Why should the truth offend? Nowhere does it say that God hates people who have abortions and for some reason that is what some of the reviewers are seeing. Our society makes abortion seem like a simple harmless thing to have done when a baby doesn't fit into your current lifestyle. They make it seem like everyone is doing it and use the excuse that it's alright especially if the mother's life is in danger. I have worked in OB/GYN in Southern California for 10 yrs and not once have I seen that situation. Keep making these shirts. They rock!! Kar: I honestly think that you have to stand for what you believe in even if your standing alone. I'm not worried about offending anyone, I know what is the truth and hon, the truth hurts. But nonetheless, its still the truth. And I plead to anyone that thinks this is too BOLD, go look up an actual video of an abortion. Its awful. They either rip the baby apart bit by bit or they inject it with acid that eats the baby from the inside out. And as for those who think the unborn can't feel until they're fully developed. A baby has a beating heart 12 days after conception. Long before most people even think of taking a pregnacy test. It CAN feel. If you watch the videos, you'll see the baby squirming to get away from the acid or tongs because it HURTS them. I understand that there are some life and death situations. But honestly, i could never choose my life over someone elses. Especially my own child. I do not judge those who have gotten one, my sister has gotten one. I look at what she DID with disgust NOT HER. It is murder. That baby hasn't done anything that deserves death, the baby is created because God chose it to be. Many people are saying that this shirt is offensive and that it does not impart grace. Well I would ask those people what separates this shirt from one that says maybe "murder is sin" or "stealing is sin" or "fornication is sin" I am sick and tired of Christians (or atleast people who call themselves such) being afraid to tell it like it is. God gave the 10 Commandments and spelled stuff like this out very clearly. He was not afraid of offending those who may have murdered someone in the past when he made commandment number 6. He wasn't afraid of offending the person who had stolen in the past when he made commandment number 8…and the list could go on. So why should we feel timid or shy about calling a sin a sin? There are certain things that God simply does not stand for. They are sin plain and simple. The intention of this shirt is not to condemn, but to state a fact plain and simply. The target reader of this shirt is not the person who has had an abortion and feels bad about it. It is for the person who is unsure of whether or not abortion is murder. Jamie: This shirt hits the nail right on the head!!! Thank you!! I think that this shirt is trying to save the innocent lives rather than bring people to Christ. Even so, the word of God IS extremely offensive to anyone and everyone who is not saved. The bible says that before knew God we seeked after the pleasures of our own flesh. Speaking such a hated truth definately would make it hard for us to bring people to Christ. Its a good thing that God doesn't expect us to save people. Melody believes the message is powerful. She's asked God to let her know when He wants her to wear it in public to speak to who He has in mind. The other day God asked her to wear the shirt and she told Him she wasn't going anywhere. He said just make sure you have it on this afternoon. When I mom asked her to go shopping with me she jumped up, put the shirt on and out we went. I believe strongly that abortion ends a life. I am still not sure about all the information on the back. Some might consider it insensitive. Even though it is the truth. I really like that it is making a statement. It maybe could have added on the back that even if you have made a wrong decision that you can still be forgiven. Jenn: C28 and others; I think this shirt is a great idea - I am very proud that it is out there. Many Christians think that "...promoting God, peace love and harmony is GREAT but this shirt creates hypocrisy." Please understand hypocrisy is to say one thing and do another. Jesus did not skip through the world leaving a trail of flower petals and singing "La la la" as He went along. He spoke the truth. This shirt does not condemn a single person or a group (Catholics are Christian, too*) it condems abortion which is an act to end a life. There is no excuse for killing one another, let alone those of us who are defenseless. The Bible says to judge things, not people and that is what this shirt is doing. Jesus is not about compromise and making the word a place that everyone can get along. He is about following God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Yes, that baby will be in Heaven and yes, the persons involved in the abortion can be forgiven, but that doesn't mean it is ok that it happened in the first place. We are all at different places in our spiritual walk. AS you grow in spiritual maturity issues are clarified very easily by God's Word. There is no justification for abortion in the Bible. God is the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow. The Bible also tells us that we should rejoice when others condemned us for our beliefs as Jesus was. *What makes someone a Christian is believing Jesus died on the cross, was buried, rose after three days to be seated in Heaven with God the, Father and that He is your Savior. Hopefully Christians also make Jesus the Lord of their lives so they can live and grow and love in the name of Jesus. We are all going to make mistakes so we need to be careful not to target people as the individuals they are. The fact that we can no longer pray in schools, the fact that basketball players can't even bend down on their knee to pray to the One and only God at a game, the fact that so many little tiny precious babies have been killed, just because of ignorance?! Rebecca : i think the shirt is very attractive in looks but no one has the time to read the the back while a person walks by.The front is way too bold. Jennifer: Thanks for making this shirt. While it is a bold statement, that is what our world needs right now. We have a shortage of people who are willing to stand and proclaim what is right in the eyes of God and what His Word says. Yes, it might offend people but it will help some also. I took this path almost 10 years ago and I wish that someone would have spoken up and shared the truth with me. I would rather have someone be offended for a period of time than for a child to be murdered or for women to live in mental anguish for years.
