A friend gave me the idea of designing a shirt with a phoenix and the verse Psalm 71:20: "Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up." I really liked the idea especially when referenced to Isaiah 61:3 where it talks about God restoring people from the ashes, mourning, and a spirit of despair.
