If we realize our sin and receive God’s love and grace, we can then show the same love and grace to someone else! God is Good, so if He didn’t hate sin, then He wouldn’t be good. God, being Loving and Just, punishes evil but He sent His Son to die for our punishment! Lying below is Romans 12:9-10 which reads: "Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves."
