Daniel: Wow, talking about all this gay stuff makes me think of one thing... hate the sin, love the sinner. The Bible is black and white, any sexual relationship outside of a man and woman in marriage is a SIN. Still gonna love on everyone, just like Jesus did with criminals and prostitutes, but not gonna accept something just because it has become socially acceptable. Oh, BTW, like I said before its a father and daughter, but I am pretty sure the designer was not promoting incest LOL.

Daniel: So... great shirt, but... based on the Grant Wood painting "American Gothic" which is often mistaken for a farmer and his wife. The actual painting is of a farmer and his DAUGHTER. That being said, it is still a cool design, the designer just needed to do his/her research before creating it.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Gothic

: At first glance I like the message, I saw it as husband and wife portrait. The artist put his sister (Nan) and some gentlemen(Mckeeby) next to her. If you look closer the women looks younger than the man. When a picture was put out in the cedar rapid gazette alot of local Iowa farmers thought they were being stereo typed and saw it as a negative portrait of a husband and wife. Nan was telling people it was the artist who envisioned it as Father and Daughter. Remember Nan is next to a much older man in the painting. The artist Wood remained Vague in the matter. Crazy Rocker Barbie: first i would like to say to everyone, THIS SHIRT HAS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTHING TO DO WITH HOMOSEXUALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can see where that subject would arise in conversation of the subject of honoring marriage, but that certainly was not my first thought upon seeing this shirt. so everyone needs to chill about the gay thing and debate that out on your own time. secondly, i liked this shirt until i saw all the comments about what the painting is REALLY depicting. i was actually wondering about that and about to look it up. thats super awkward, though a bit humorous in some ways...at and rate, this shirt needs to be removed IMMEDIATELY b4 too many people start walking around advertising incest -.-

Chrissy: Very sad to see such a shirt being sold. As a lesbian who loves God and lives accordingly, it is downright depressing to see that THIS is what youre selling to my generation. Lets focus on the positive rather than the negative. Its kind of funny that Brianna is talking about standing up against gays and then says "My youth pastor says that if you are being persecuted then you must be doing something right!". Hmm, this shirt is persecuting me for being gay. Must be doing something right! God is love. Dont forget it.

Bold statement. My husband and I are witnessing alot of divorce among our church friends and they are forgetting their commitments made before God. Marriage is being degrated in so many ways but GOD created it between man and woman for His glory.

Michelle: I dont think C28 was trying to approve or disapprove of gay and lesbian relationships when they started selling this t-shirt. All I see is honor your spouse. Marriage is great. Be monogamous. Although I am not a fan of the painting..and probably wouldnt buy the shirt, I certainly dont think they meant to be promoting hate or bigotry on any level! Although the bible says that marriage is between one man and one woman, We live in America..the land of the free, obviously we all have our own opinions here. Rachel: I highly suggest rethinking buying this shirt, and even rethinking the design of the t-shirt. Not necessarily because of the message of "marriage: one man, one woman" but because the message being sent by using this painting is "marriage: one father, one daughter." "American Gothic" is a painting of a farmer standing beside his DAUGHTER, not his wife. So the message of the t-shirt is... incest. Pretty sure thats frowned upon no matter what your belief on gay marriage is.

Jennifer: I am really disappointed in the shirt. I think that we as Christians have not been doing a good job representing Christ to the gay community. I dont think we realize how hard we make it for gay and lesbian people within the church to feel like they can talk to us and not be judged or criticized. I think we make it near impossible for secular gay and lesbian people to even want to have anything to do with us. I really question promoting anything that pushes the idea that Christians are anti-gay over the idea that Christians are people who were screwed up and totally hellbound, but then Christ, in is amazing love, died for us and took our place, and now we are totally changed and purpose-filled. Id rather be known as a faith group of people who ahve experienced and found something important. And I wonder why it is that we arent wearing shirts decrying things that cut close to home. Why arent we wearing shirts about gossip or greed or envy or straight lust or judgmentalism or pride? I think Christians are getting a bad habit of trying to say that sin is "out there" instead of inside of us and we are starting to become too interested in the plank in our brothers eye.
