God & The History of Art was created to give students a Godly perspective in the fine arts. Barry Stebbing has strived to research those Christian artists in the past who have either left a lasting impression on mankind through their artwork, or artists who were dedicated to serving God. Much research was done pertaining to various periods of art that were Godly in purpose, i.e. Byzantine, Romanesque, Reformation, etc... The text also covers art in general from ancient Egypt to modern times and gives summaries on some of the more prominent artists during these periods. He has also added many creative aspects to this text including hundreds of drawings by homeschooling students of stories from the Bible, an assortment of 34 full color post cards of works by the great masters, a painting program which includes 35 specially designed 81/2 x 11 (110) index stock cards, and over 250 daily art lessons teaching drawing, color theory, painting and much more.
