This Worktext accompanies the student text for Reading 6 for Christian Schools (Second Edition) and is an integral part of the Bob Jones University Press Reading program. It contains interesting activities to focus on specific reading skills. These pages are meant top be completed under the teacher's guidance. The Skill Day section includes systematic teaching of literature skills, study skills, and structural analysis. The Author Scrapbook section emphasizes a listening strategy and presents interesting information about specific authors. The Vocabulary Reviews section provides review of vocabulary words and their meanings, each review being used for student practice prior to the administering of the corresponding quiz in the Vocabulary Quizzes section of this teacher's edition. There are a variety of pages that are useful for evaluation. Pages selected for evaluation should reflect a potential level of mastery. The first time a particular skill is taught, the page is labeled "Skill introduction" to alert the teacher that the activity is provided for student practice rather than evaluation. After the student has completed and studied and vocabulary review, the corresponding quiz may be used for evaluation.
