This teacher's manual is intended to give instructors the opportunity to add to their students' understanding of the English language and their skill in implementing its rules. It is the hope of the author, editors, and publishers that you are able to give your students an appreciation for the gift of language which God has given. Some of the words used in the practice exercises may be new to the student's vocabulary, and their spelling may be unfamiliar. Therefore, spelling and vocabulary lessons are interspersed throughout the book. It will also be necessary to have access to a standard, full-sized dictionary. A number of writing assignments are included in this volume. Your student will need to consult encyclopedias or other reference materials (printed or electronic) during the research portion of these assignments. If your school or home does not have adequate resources of this nature, you should visit a library.
