"Pray without ceasing..." - 1 Thess 5:17

Peter Hey guys, Im kinda new to the whole post your prayer on a wall type thing, so here it goes. About a month and a half ago I decided to end a relationship with my girlfriend of 2 years. Being one who invests my time, energy, and so many other things into anyone I meet, one could imagine how much I invested in this past relationship. Some days are easier than others, but every day I make it a habit to pray for the Lord to bring joy through this time of sorrow (and minor depression). I have been surrounding myself with strong Christian guys on my floor to both encourage me and get my mind off of thinking about my break up continuously (by the way, it is really cool to attend a Christian university, especially at this time in my life). I know that God is accomplishing His will in my life through this event and time. Please pray that healing will take place in my heart in a proper way, and that Satan will not be able plant depressing thoughts about this past relationship (blame, doubt that God is going to get me through this time in my life, it is my fault I am single, confusion of emotions and thoughts, etc). On a lighter note, I also know that the Lord will bring another wonderful girl into my life when it is His timing and not mine, and I cant wait to meet her, but until that day, I remain fixed on Him who gives me strength and guides my footsteps. Thank you:)

Sarah32 Hey Peter! I know you must be going through a lot, buddy!! Everyday must feel like a battle to keep your head above depression and past thoughts. Ive been there myself. :( I had a rough break-up with my fiance some time ago. Its tough not being able to see the person you once spent so much time with. It becomes a habit, and living without them is a very rough transition to face. Im praying!!!-----------Lord. I thank You for Peters courage to let his girlfriend go. It wasnt the easiest choice for him, as You know. I pray that You would sooth his broken soul, and help him to see that a better tomorrow is in store. He has reason to "expectantly hope and wait" on You because You love him sooooo much!!!! You have Peters best interests at heart and I truly believe that Your are going to give him an awesome future by honoring his awesome, yet painful decision to do what is right. Give Him the strength each day that can only come from You! Lord, You know the other needs Peter has in his life, and I pray that You would fulfill them and make him a man after Your own heart, Jesus.
