Christian Singles Valentines Day Encouragement!: :)Valentines day can be a difficult time for many Christian singles that are trying to abstain from sex while waiting for God to send them that special mate. Every year many Christian singles who have fought hard for a long time to finally get their lives right with God drop the ball and blow it on v-day. They have developed a great prayer life and have made all kinds of great Christian single progress towards getting that special mate. Then here comes valentines day! Poof! This is where months and years of christian single progress can be ruined in one day. Seeing all the love stuff around can make you lose your focus and jump on a "temporary love boat" with many others. Many Christian singles dont bounce back too quick or even at all sometimes after the strong conviction and disappointment from their sexual sin kicks in. Some cases have bigger consequences like a unwanted pregnancy or an S.T.D. Oh and to all the ladys, dont fall for the old "I got roses and candy smiles" propaganda you see this month. Flowers and gifts are good but dont look to much into it or feel bad if you dont get anything because a lot of times what you are actually seeing is more like "I only get to hold my mans hand one day/month out the year in public date" day.Also sadly some people celebrating v-day are just "Hey I dont want to marry you but I dont want to be by myself on v-day" temporary, "emotionally risky",dates or sexual hook ups that dont really lead to anything serious. Then there are some couples who dont bond or dont really like each other 11 months out the year and v-day/Feb. is the one day/month they actually get intimate or bond with each other since they first got married. So stay strong Christian single guys and gals! Be happy for those you see enjoying love but never covet because like some people say, "All glitter aint gold." Pray away all those negative single life thoughts! Be patient and happy during valentines day knowing that a mate sent from God is way better than a one day one month temporary hook up!:)

J & J My (29yo) Husband was offered an expensive procedure to insert permanent teeth implants, pro-Bono(free) which is a HUGE blessing; now we have to come up with the funds for the trips down south (6 hour drive, that weve made twice now and will again 2 more times) and the expensive teeth in the next 4-6 months. He is also having two wisdom teeth removed before the implants are done, and because of their location near the nerve there is cause for concern - but we are giving this to God to handle. We are so very thankful to the Dr for offering this procedure and to the Heavenly Father for blessing us with this incredible opportunity! We have signed the release forms for the video interview, photographs and procedure video to be published. My husbands case will be made public to a medical study group (In Sacramento, CA) and online on the Doctors site, filmed and other Doctors will be in the room during the procedure for educational purposes. We are excited; not nervous or worried about the procedure but are focused on saving money to co-labor with God on this blessing. God has been calling my Husband and myself to a mission trip to Rwanda Africa with our church later this year, we want to go but will have to see how the Father has everything planned for us. All prayers are greatly appreciated. We cant wait for this to be done so we can share an incredible testimony of the Fathers grace and love. Thank you for your time! - The Hoovers

Jessica My daughter is a year old and has severe eczema. She is highly allergic to a lot of fruits and vegetables, such as apples, carrots, bananas and every time she eats them, her lip starts to swell and she gets itchy everywhere. She is still highly dependent on her soy milk formula, but she doesnt receive the proper nutrients she needs to grow up healthy and strong. Please help me pray that either she grows out of these allergies or we find a medication she can take so she can tolerate eating.

Shes been going through chemo the past 3 weeks and tomorrow they do an MRI to see if its small enough to consider surgery. I believe without a doubt in the power of prayer and what it can do. Chase I am asking for prayer for a young gentlemen named Haas aka Severial. I recently moved to Watford City, ND for work and he is a kitchen employee in the one of the gas stations I consult for. His mother essentially abandoned him out here to find work since it is oil country and jobs are easy to find. This is despite him being mentally slow and havening never met his father. Since Ive been her he has been dealing with a very serious infection on his lower leg which recently took a turn for the worse. Apparently he had been going to the doctor when the pain got bad but they only prescribed him antibiotics and took no further action. Safe to say the medical care is sub par in these parts and they will be held accountable for mal practice if need be. Regardless...on his two quarter size holes in his leg started bleeding two days ago and he nearly bled to death. Currently he is in the hospital awaiting diagnosis and a potential transfer to a better equipped location. Just to give a visual, from about the knee down, his leg is black and blue with two large sores that are continually inflamed. I am very worried that he will lose his leg and potentially his life. My prayer is for complete healing of his leg, rebuking in the name of Jesus of the infection, and the best care possible. Let me add that this is one the nicest individuals a person could ever meet...he extremely kind hearted and in need of loving prayers.

Levi Hey all! Just asking for some prayer. Im in a hard spot in life right now. i have been trying to save money and ready myself to marry my amazing (and very anxious) girlfriend of two years. 3 weeks ago, i got unemployed, im trying to find work, but just doesnt seem to be much out there, and im having a hard time hearing God on what he wants me to do. things have just been overwhelming, there are alot of mountains i have to cross this season (including a potential health issue and some other very personal things). The enemy has been planting fears, anxiety, and discouragement in my path through all of this. i dont even know what to do or really where to start. i feel like im on a time limit and if it runs out, im going to lose everything. i love my girlfriend very much, please pray for her, pray she can be of good courage through this, be extremely patient, have some trust in me, but above all trust Jesus with this situation. She is my best friend and i cant bear the idea of losing her. Pray our relationship is made stronger through this season, and we grow together more than ever, in trust, in love, and in God. This is a hard situation, it may seem not too bad, i cant share the all the details, but it is so hard on me and im just very worn. pray for my faith, and trust in the Lord. pray i dont get lazy and work hard for this desire, but i also dont get ahead of myself and run in front of him. i need peace, wisdom, and Godly motivation. Lana We are in need of moving into a home and want to buy one. We are on a limited budget, but we need to have my Mother come and live with us. We want it to be the Lords Will and in His time not in ours. We have looked at 2 houses just online and are praying, too. I also have health issues (asthma, COPD, diabetes, obesity, ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease, diverticulitis, menstrual issues, etc.) that have kept me from working since 1998 and I have been on SSD since. There are so many people in more desperate need of prayer than I/us so it seems odd to be asking for prayer over a THING. My health is at stake due to a possible surgery to remove or resection the bowel and being overweight. I am in the process of dieting and have lost 15 lbs. but I have lost some momentum and need prayer for this as well. Thank you in advance! Oh, how HE LOVES you and me!

Patricia My name is Patricia Stoddard, I live in Spokane WA, and am a member of North Addison Baptist Church. On Nov.26th I had surgery on my neck to have disks C4 and C5 replaced also to fuse disks C6 and C7 . I will be in a neck brace for about eight weeks (Dec.-Jan.) Im asking for prayer that the bones will knit well and that the titanium plate and screws that fuse the disks will take hold. The pain during recovery has been pretty intense too. When healed it would be wonderful if there would finally be some relief of my chronic pain Iissues.

Carol Our prayers are not answered yet. We go tomorrow morning to meet with the oncologists at the hospital because his stage 4 lung cancer had spread to his right shoulder, spine, brain and lymph nodes. My son Stewart, who is 41 years old has been diagnosed with lung cancer. He just found out it has spread to his right shoulder blade and they found a spot in his lower lumbar area. He was hospitalized about a 1 1/2 weeks ago with blood clots in his left leg and his lungs. Also pneumonia in one lung and that is when they discovered the cancer in his lung. Please pray for his healing. He knows the Lord. He also needs a better job to increase his finances. Thank you, Carol

Jonathan I spoke to my boss on more than one occasion and he told me that there were no shifts available to replace my sunday shifts. After a week or two, i asked him to drop my sunday shift all together, and it was granted. I now work two nights a week with occasional call ins, and i ask that you please pray for a way for me to get more work than just this.

Soooo... For over a year or two, I was praying for a consistent source of financial income, and was just NOT getting it. Not saying it wasnt my fault, but the point is now I got one. I work for this place called the Parking Spot which holds down your car and from there, drops you off to the airport and I am to run and go get it while youre on your way back so its ready by the time of your return. NOW heres where I do NOT like it. I would like it on any other note except switching to mornings. I love that I have night shifts, but what I dont love is the fact that its on the weekends only. I work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I serve the Brooklyn Tabernacles childrens ministry on 2nd 4th and 5th sunday mornings, and play for Christ Fellowship Worship Center in Brownsville Brooklyn on 1st and 3rd so having to work on Saturday nights and having to leave Church immediately after. Having Working Satuday nights, getting like 4 hours of sleep then waking up to do ministry only to leave immediately, I will not be functioning at my best. Please pray that my sunday shift be REPLACED. I was offered to have it removed but I couldnt accept that because it wouldnt be replaced... Also, if youre reading this, please take the time to view my previous prayer request before this.

She risked it all to study Gods word with us in the camp. She told us she has a hole in her heart. She even fell down during the sessions in the camp. We called an ambulance, she got medical treatment. But refuses to spend the night at the Hospital. She returned back to the camp after a few hours late at night. This happened at the camp. Oliver Oliver, I am also going through a very dark time right now, and it is hard to see the good in what God is doing. Think of Job- He went through tremendous trials and same as you, questioned God and what good could come of it. And God responded to him, asking Job if had in fact laid the foundations of the world? Or put the boundaries up for the oceans? He is saying that you might not see what good can come of this, but He is God, and He KNOWS BEST. Also, the Bible tells us that "All things work out for the good of those who love God." Romans 8:28. The Bible is absolute truth- so you can take comfort in this. God does not promise us a pain-free life- because of sin. We can just look at Jesus, the son of God, to see this. He was betrayed, beaten with whips embedded with glass, had thorns crushed into His skull, had nails driven through His hands and feet, and then was left to hang on a cross until He suffocated to death. If even Jesus had to suffer, then we too, are not immune to suffering. Jesus tells us to "Take up our cross and follow Me." Matthew 16:24. This means that there will be times when following Jesus that will be painful. BUT Gods Grace can heal our wounds! Please believe me in this Oliver, as I am and have been a very wounded person. He promises to give us Supernatural Joy, Peace, Strength, a clear mind, and self control. Go to Him and ask Him to help you deal with your anger toward Him and your grief over your wifes passing. And He is faithful, He will help you. Deuteronomy 7:9 "Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments." Zuzka The tumor has been successfully removed HALLELUJAH! My cousin though got an infection so he had to stay for another two weeks. On wednesday he should start chemo treatment. I believe in the full treatment by our Daddy. May He be glorified in this situation and may my whole family return to Him..

I used to play the synthesizer in my church orchestra but I was diagnosed with arthritis in my thumbs after being in pain for several months. (Arthritis seems to run in my family, children through adults). I have had shots in both hands twice and have been playing percussion in the orchestra to try to take some of the pressure off. Unfortunately, the pain is back in my right hand and getting worse. I love playing for The Lord and cannot imagine stopping, and I definitely do not want surgery (my doctor recommended it for when the shots stop working). I just want to be healed.

Ramona Flo is now on a strong medication for Restless Leg Syndrome. It can interfere with her other medications for blood pressure and heart issues, but so far it has not. Please continue to pray that God will heal her completely, and she can get off the medication. And thank you Lucy!

Glorisel God has refreshed my soul. He sent me a lot of trials which made me grow closer to Him... It was rough in there for a while... it still is... But Im holding on to His love and His grace. Praise Him. Thank You all for praying.

Glorisel Hey everyone! I just wanted to thank you all for praying! Since posting this, God has been ministering to my heart every day... Cant say that everything is perfect; some things are getting better (like I just did interviews at three med schools praise God and thank Him for His grace... now I just have to wait and see where he leads me) and some things are getting worse (my friends dad died and hes gotten worse; hes gotten into pills and is talking about going to work in the streets; frankly, im remaining in prayer for him but im breaking up that friendship because he doesnt want help... hes just devastated but he doesnt want change right now... so im just praying for him)... But my heart has changed. Now, I can say I have joy again... And though every now and then Im troubled by the situations surrounding me Im feeling God and His peace more than ever and Hes been letting me know "NOTHING WILL EVER SEPARATE YOU FROM MY LOVE"... Somehow, in every song, in every Scripture, in every sermon that keeps coming up... Gods love... GODS LOVE IS SUSTAINING ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY... Im sorry that its so long but Im desperate... The past 7 months have been very hard. I had to drop out of med school in June due to my grades (I am currently trying again to enter med school or study nursing because my passion and purpose is in serving people through medical services so I can help their physical needs and introduce them to God in the process). In June also my grandma entered the intensive care unit and was on and off the hospital which was a grueling process for us and her and she went with the Lord in August so this is our first Christmas without her and its been so hard... On September I came to know that I have a chronic heart thing going on and am currently on meds but so far theyve upped my dosis 4 times and it isnt working; the other option is an operation. On November I got very sick and had to go the hospital due to dehydration and am currently under studies to see if I have another chronic condition of the gastrointestinal tract. Also on November my best friend and the guy I love seemed to be getting more depressed, talked about suicide (he has already tried it twice by now) and said he was getting marry to a girl after less than two months of knowing her only to dump her and stop living with her last Tuesday and start living with another girl on Friday whom he says is the one. He (my friend) is far from God and I feel a lot of confusion in his mind and spirit but he says he feels good about what hes doing; but I learned two days ago that he started doing drugs again with the girl hes living with so I dont get how this girl could be from God like he says when they are nit living pleasing God or even looking for Him. We talked (and had a fight while he was on drugs) and I told him that we should stop talking because it isnt right for me to be talking with a guy I love while he is living with a girl. We have been best friends for ten years; and Ive helped him through a lot of rough spots so Im going to miss him a lot and a part of me feels this isnt fair and more so Im worried about his soul because he doesnt seem to see what hes doing wrong. On top of all this, the family that was left in Puerto Rico with me moved to the states in August so I feel alone and my two best friends who are Christians are going through their own stuff (one was depressed and the other one is studying in med school) so theyre too busy to talk when I need it. Im also looking for a job since October, but to no avail. I write to ask for prayer for all my friends; specially Gabriel (hes the guy who isnt in a relationship with God yet) for his eyes to be opened to Gods truth and that he will receive conviction in his spirit about what Gods will truly is. I want him to be saved. I want to pray for my family as we pass through our first Christmas without grandma; specially my grandpa (they had been married for 54 yrs) and my mom and aunt and uncle (also pray for his salvation cuz hes the only member of the fam who isnt saved yet). Please pray for me; my health, me finding a job to help out my family and be able to take care of myself better, my emotions because its a lot and I have Gods joy but some days are better anf some days are just horrible, my carrer and most of all that God will give me direction and strength to do His will wtv it may mean to sacrifice; even 10 yrs friendship or being healthy or the dream of being a doctor. Louise Thank you for your prayers on my behalf. My neck surgery has been delayed from 1/3/13 due to a decreasing white blood count that has gone well in to the abnormal range. So, Ive been sent to an Oncologist for evaluation. Im drinking organic fruit & vegetable drinks with seeds & nuts blended to hopefully help boost my WBC. I trust in God to help me through an upcoming major neck surgery on January 3, 2013. I will be in a neck brace for 3 months and Im currently on Family Medical Leave Act from work which means Im not getting paid and Im the sole supporter of my 18 yr. old son in HS. I need a "sooner than expected" 3 month recovery so I dont lose my job on 2/28 if I cant be released by the Neurosurgeon for work. Also, my other 2 children 23 (son is a Chef in Chicago), and 31 (daughter is the Director of a non-profit Geriatric Center), as well as my 18 yr. old son, are stressed out over this surgery and my well-being. I would appreciate any prayers for my speedy, full recovery and most importantly my childrens well-being. Thank you so much for your support. Merry Christmas!

He has a doctors appointment today to find out what surgery he needs to have to hopefully once and for all fix a problem he has had for years. As far as we know there are 2 options for him and one is brain surgery and the other is less invasive as its in his face, not his brain. Please pray for the less invasive surgery for him as he is not a man of faith and wont be praying for himself.

My husband just got found out he has diabetes and he had a job where he was on his feet 12 hour days so God lead him to a career change to truck driving school so he wont be on his feet for hours at a time but my prayer is that God will give him wisdom and favor to obtain his CDL and for God to heal him of health issues and for our finances to be restored and for God to help my daughter get into the Air Force because thats what she wants to do and God has led her that way. Also, I am 36 weeks pregnant and having sever swelling in my hands... its finals week in college so prayers that I will be able to have less pain and to finish the semester strong before our son arrives. One last thing, I have been out of work due to my pregnancy and my husband hasnt been able to find a job outside of his small part time one at the bowling alley which barely covers our rent. Prayers he can find another job would be amazing. Thank you so much and God bless.

My sister: Desiree has been having her hip surgery canceled almost 5 times due to other health issues and now denial of insurance at the hospital. I feel for her since shes in so much pain. I too am having health issues with my Lt Knee. I havent had medical insurance for 3 yrs now. Im hoping to be able to have an MRI done to see the extension of my injury. Without the proper care and enough money to pay for all of this, I consume to wearing a knee brace and taking ibprofen for the pain. Thank you for the prayers!

I went to the emergency room and the doctor told me that my cervix is closed but I have a piece of tissue hanging from it. Which leads them to believe I am having a miscarriage. I have no bleeding any longer but I am so afraid buy at the same time I know God can turn this around. I have to go back tommorrow and the doctor wants to do another exam. Please pray that God is working in this and I will not lose this baby.

Candice I know its hard to "Let go and let God" but what you have to remember is that he already knows what will happen and why! I know how hard it is to do things in ways other than youre own, but when it comes to God, He created trust so that we can cast our worries on him and TRUST He can take care of them :)

With Love On Your Arms My youth leader recently graduated college with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a pediatric nurse, she is going to save lives and help the community. Furthermore, I have been reading Nutrition/Health Articles in class and the unit helped me be aware of Americas growing obesity rate.

Heavenly Father, continue to work through doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and health educators so that will encourage people to live healthier lifestyles and bring Gods healing to those that desperately need it. Lord, bring up those with callings in the medical field so that they bring the healing and comfort found only in Jesus, our Healer and Friend to the nations of the world. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
