Jonathan Well, for more than 11 years, Ive known this lady and in Decemeber, we finally started to elevate our friendship to beyond that. During this transition, Ive asked friends to pray for me that God would help me be ready for it and to give me the wisdom and guidance to hold it down, because I know what its like me to mess things up due to my comfort in my confidence of not worrying about things falling apart. Lately, Ive sensed some lack of interest since this has been going a little lightly.. some examples could be her acting all germaphobe when I kiss her on the cheek or put my arm around her... and let me stop in the middle of this to just point out that in Brooklyn, most Christians in relationships are usually NOT the most conservative in case thats what some reading may be thinking first hand before they can even understand my point.... Other recent examples were me texting her I love you which we usually tell each other, and she replied with Ditto... I replied back with OK Demi lol as an indication from the Movie Ghost where that phrase was made famous which Im not even sure she saw it... Most recently, I told her I love you over the phone, and she said OK though she was very tired at the time, and on our last phone convo I told her I missed her and she told me I saw her The Other Day.... Today is Wednsday... The other day she is talking about is last week Thursday. Please understand that this relationship is a huge transition for me and I dont want to mess this up, so please pray for wisdom and guidance throughout this, and if I may be concerned over NOTHING, which I would LOVE to find out, then please pray that God would confirm that to me if so, because Im a bit afraid. Even as I trust in the Lord, I can still be afraid because he may have will that I dont understand and that has happened to me more than once before. So please keep me in prayer regarding this. Christian Singles Valentines Day Encouragement!: :)Valentines day can be a difficult time for many Christian singles that are trying to abstain from sex while waiting for God to send them that special mate. Every year many Christian singles who have fought hard for a long time to finally get their lives right with God drop the ball and blow it on v-day. They have developed a great prayer life and have made all kinds of great Christian single progress towards getting that special mate. Then here comes valentines day! Poof! This is where months and years of christian single progress can be ruined in one day. Seeing all the love stuff around can make you lose your focus and jump on a "temporary love boat" with many others. Many Christian singles dont bounce back too quick or even at all sometimes after the strong conviction and disappointment from their sexual sin kicks in. Some cases have bigger consequences like a unwanted pregnancy or an S.T.D. Oh and to all the ladys, dont fall for the old "I got roses and candy smiles" propaganda you see this month. Flowers and gifts are good but dont look to much into it or feel bad if you dont get anything because a lot of times what you are actually seeing is more like "I only get to hold my mans hand one day/month out the year in public date" day.Also sadly some people celebrating v-day are just "Hey I dont want to marry you but I dont want to be by myself on v-day" temporary, "emotionally risky",dates or sexual hook ups that dont really lead to anything serious. Then there are some couples who dont bond or dont really like each other 11 months out the year and v-day/Feb. is the one day/month they actually get intimate or bond with each other since they first got married. So stay strong Christian single guys and gals! Be happy for those you see enjoying love but never covet because like some people say, "All glitter aint gold." Pray away all those negative single life thoughts! Be patient and happy during valentines day knowing that a mate sent from God is way better than a one day one month temporary hook up!:)

Zoe Ann My husband moved out of our house last April....long, painful story. Two months ago he admitted to a forty year addiction to pornography. I am numb, angry, poured out. 6 kids. Homeschooling. In ministry with evangelism, outreach, prayer. I am in constant pain with headaches, tinnitus, fatigue. My mother died in front of my eyes of a massive heart attack a few months ago. My best friend, my grandma, died five months prior to that. I am so very done with this life. Jesus somehow keeps my heart beating....please pray for me and my marriage and my kids, and for the testimony of Gods grace. Oh, and please pray for finacial matters. Due to his severe Adult ADD, my husband has lost 3 jobs in 4 years.

J & J My (29yo) Husband was offered an expensive procedure to insert permanent teeth implants, pro-Bono(free) which is a HUGE blessing; now we have to come up with the funds for the trips down south (6 hour drive, that weve made twice now and will again 2 more times) and the expensive teeth in the next 4-6 months. He is also having two wisdom teeth removed before the implants are done, and because of their location near the nerve there is cause for concern - but we are giving this to God to handle. We are so very thankful to the Dr for offering this procedure and to the Heavenly Father for blessing us with this incredible opportunity! We have signed the release forms for the video interview, photographs and procedure video to be published. My husbands case will be made public to a medical study group (In Sacramento, CA) and online on the Doctors site, filmed and other Doctors will be in the room during the procedure for educational purposes. We are excited; not nervous or worried about the procedure but are focused on saving money to co-labor with God on this blessing. God has been calling my Husband and myself to a mission trip to Rwanda Africa with our church later this year, we want to go but will have to see how the Father has everything planned for us. All prayers are greatly appreciated. We cant wait for this to be done so we can share an incredible testimony of the Fathers grace and love. Thank you for your time! - The Hoovers

Jessica My daughter is a year old and has severe eczema. She is highly allergic to a lot of fruits and vegetables, such as apples, carrots, bananas and every time she eats them, her lip starts to swell and she gets itchy everywhere. She is still highly dependent on her soy milk formula, but she doesnt receive the proper nutrients she needs to grow up healthy and strong. Please help me pray that either she grows out of these allergies or we find a medication she can take so she can tolerate eating.

Sara My prayer is for my friend who is now in the state prison for a foolish thing he did while he was young. This crime wasnt violent What so ever. It was for stealing a pair of speakers. And now Hes doing a year in prison just because he was linked with other charges that they cant prove. I know his heart, hes honestly a sweet guy and would do anything for me an for his family an other friends. Hes been my call in the middle of the night on more than one occasion just to hear him say its gonna be okay. I havent gotten a letter back since hes been transferred and I just pray today is the day I get a letter and hopefully some good news. Please pray for his protection while hes in and pray he stays in touch the best he can.

12 Comments I used to play basketball with a gentleman who was in his seventies. He was in great shape. He could run up and down the court with the twenty year olds. One day, we were talking and he said, "Joel, its kind of funny. When I was forty, my doctor told me that my knees wouldnt hold up with me playing as much as I do, but I just kept playing. At fifty, my doctor told me my back would start hurting if I kept running and jumping like this. But I just kept on. At sixty, he told me I could never keep up physically, but I could still run with the young guys. When I hit seventy, finally he told me to just keep playing as much as I wanted to." I laughed and said, "How long are you going to play?" He smiled and replied, "Im going to play until I get old."
I like his perspective because really, old is in your mind. Your body may age, but if youll stay young in your heart, itll help your body to age even better. The scripture says that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. This man had the heart of a twenty-five year old physically and mentally. He was always grateful, always happy, always in a good mood. You could tell he wasnt making plans to get old and worn out; he was planning on living out his life joyful, vibrant, and in good health.
Today, I encourage you to examine your outlook on life. Are you making plans to be healthy, strong, and vibrant? Are you making plans to be all that God has called you to be? Remember, your life will go in the direction of your thoughts. It all starts in your mind. Make the decision today to set your mind in the right direction so you can move forward into the destiny God has prepared for you

rose thank you for all the people that are praying for me. The situation in the workplace is still the same but with the help of god i am able to get thru the difficulties that are present there. when i leave i do feel a lot better from the worksite.

Excellent news per the social worker we are getting my baby boy back with by the end of the month.
my wife is still little hesitant at work now she is really thinking about quitting her job.
this does not feel right.
Still working on my daughter.
As for me still having those thaughts, not as bad but still contiplating if i should or shouldnt go out of our my marriage. it is very hard. Women dressing very provacative and talking about what they can do and not do , etc. Please keep praying for me thank you all

good morning my bothers and sisters,i have several request for prayer please. 1st prayer for my foster son to be back with us in tx, we were fostering him in our home back in oceanside and my company was closing its doors and had to relocate to Dallas, TX, and we were not able to bring him with us, so on May 17, 2010 is the court date to see if we get him back to our loving family and home, Social worker states possiblilty we might be put up for adoption, which means he might not come back to us,and the babies own family does not want him. So please Pray for that . 2nd my lovely wife is struggling with work and no one is listending to her she feels all alone and we pray together and leave it in the hands of our Lord and savior, and i now we should wait for him , but my wife is ready to walk out and i totally will back her up on this, please pray for her, my 12 yr old daughter is starting to use foul language at home and school and is hanging out with the wrong crowd, he have put a stop to this, but i want her to keep straight in the eye of Jesus Christ like she was back in Oceanside. Now myself, i have steered away a from the Lord, i still believe in him and he has provided so much for us, thank you. But i am not walking straight i have not read my bible, have not kept him in pray i have lusted after other woman , have not gone to the pronography and dont plan too, I want my heart to be pure again and to always rely on God, I am scared that i cannot provide for my family, i have thought on cheating on my wife and at times divorcing her, but i lover her so much and i know she loves me too. Lea I want to thank everyone who is praying, I pray that God blesses you and answers all your prayers as well. I can tell you that it is working, my boyfriend has committed to working on his weaknesses and his friends are following him. I didnt have to nag him, push him or threaten him; he did it on his own. I just mentioned my concern and he just decided on his own and started walking it. I knew it was God and all your prayers going up for us. Part of me thought it would be difficult but I just kept my compassion for him and his friends and when he told me today what he is doing I knew it was God and all the prayer warriors. Thank you!!! I really needed the help. As for myself I am gaining strength everyday and not suppressing who i am in Christ. God is Good! Please keep us in your prayers we have jumped a major hurdle I know he will give his life to Jesus in God timing and again thank you.

I was very sick last week, I had a sore throat, pink eye, and an ear infection. All of that is gone now but my ears are still bothering me. They dont hurt and I am thanking God for that because the pain was unbearable. p e Yes it was. I believe your prayers have brought me to were I am now. I know Im saved!!! and I dont doubt it. Its so simple the plan of salvation, but I think some times we try to make it too complicated. It is simple, a child can understand it or someone that is not the smartest person. Thank you Jesus. Kirk Well about 5 weeks ago my girlfriend and I broke up, which is not fun, but it has helped the both of us. We went through some rough times with talking behind each others backs, which we got straightened out thankfully! Now we still talk and are friends, but we both are seeking God a lot more than when we were together. I know personally God has helped me with patience, waiting, and not worrying about what will happen in my future with girls! God is GREAT and he uses you in many ways! I am thankful for how He has taken care of me through everything!

Chalsea Lord plz set my brother Kirk free from the evil, sinful thoughts that are plaquing his mind. Give him the victory in those areas where he once struggled! You said in Your Word that You would not make the desires so strong that we couldnt resist them, so Father plz give him the self will to let go and the determination that he will NEVER have to deal w/this problem again! And bless him for his humbleness to admit that he has a problem and that only YOU can deliver him. Amen!

Nikki Lastnight God met me at church. After the sermon we had an opportunity to pray and ask Him to guide us this week to "love your neighbor as yourself" in doing this I got the opportunity to ask His forgiveness for not only everything that was going on recently but for everything else. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Restored10 Thank you guys for your prayers and they were answered. She went home a few days ago and is doing well. It looks like there will be no need for a pacemaker at this point and her heart is doing better. Thank you again C28 family!!

The docs feel she might need a pacemaker but right now they are trying to alter her meds to get her heartbeat back in the right rhythm. This is scaring me and its heavy on my heart. I am recently married and the relationship has been very difficult, a lot of ups and downs. I want everything to be good for us, but it seems like there is always a problem. He has anger problems and he has a very bad and hurtful habit of breaking up with me whenever hes angry. He has lied to me many times before and left me. He had an issue with pornography that I recently found out about. We have issues with intimacy (to keep it brief). We have financial problems (we dont really have any money right now and hes bad with money he wastes money he doesnt have on designer clothes he doesnt need; he only wears designer clothes). Everything has caused a lot of distress for me. And it really has messed with my mental/emotional state. I have a tendency to just have these nervous breakdowns and start yelling if Im very frustrated, and he hates that. We need God to be #1 in our marriage. Howard Its OK to just let Go. GOD doesnot Want YOU TO suffer, Daily. If he doesnt like Church, makes up bible opinions what the bible says, he is hurting you spirtully,mentally,emotionally and your general well being . GOD will forgive YOU. Kasey Thanks everyone for praying for me. :) I wasnt expecting that many responses. I have been doing a lot better thanks to God. I havent given into temptation in well over a week. trueblue84 Ive struggled with this before. God will guide you. Its best to remove any temptation. Block things out. Reject any impure thoughts in Jesus name. Fill it with Gods word and good images.

b n Thank you so much for everyones prayers! Praise God! My tax money came in much earlier and Ive had about 38 hours a week at work. So, we have the money we need for our trips. Also Jon and I have gotten calls from family and friends asking if we want to help out in community projects and speak at churchs. We are so excited to see what God has in store for us. :)

Kirk The first year of college has many questions and obstacles to get over, but I found out the Lord was there right along with me helping me with the challenges I faced. Raquel Thank you all so much for praying for me. The answer to my prayer is to wait and have faith. God assured me that He will take care of my situation and to not worry about it. I gained this assurance a few days ago. It was today that was so exciting! I was asking the Lord when am I going to see Him working in my financial situation...like when will I start seeing results? Later on today I received an acceptance letter for this paid-internship that Ive been longing for. It was like a slap in the face for me doubting God. But today my faith was renewed and I praise Him!

I also dont have time to search and apply for scholarships because of how many classes Im taking. The pell grant is only covering a quarter of the cost.My family cant afford my tuition either. Im going to have to resort to a community college. If this happens Im going to have to say goodbye to my boyfriend. Im wondering if God is trying to close a door? Or is He telling me to wait for a miracle? Only by a miracle could I attend the university.

And God revealed great truths to him through the verse that said "you must be born of water and the spirit otherwise you can not enter the kingdom of heaven." I keep thinking about Colossians 3:23-24 to encourage myself that all that I do I have to work at it with all of my heart as if Im serving God but that still hasnt pushed me to actually study for my classes and do my work like I should. Lately I havent been making the best grades and its not that the work is too hard its just that I dont see the point of learning about what my professors are teaching. My mom told me that when I was a lot younger that I had a M.R.I. done on me before. She said that the doctors found nothing wrong with me and that it would probably go away soon. It never did. So, please just pray that the doctors will be able to find what is wrong so that we can find a way to make it all go away. Thank you and God Bless you!

my girlfriend kayla is going through a hard time right now. where the devil is attacking her in every way he can. it has got bad then beater then bad agin. we just need it to be taken from her. she dose not need to suffer any more. i just need someone to pray for me and her. pray that the devil will leave her alone and flee fare away. i know that God is in control and that he can do all things. just please pray.
Stephanie I had surgery today and am recovering well so far. Please pray for a swift uncomplicated complete recovery with restoration of my health. Thank you!

Prayer just for everything. We are kind of at the end of our rope financially..and today I just felt really OK about it knowing that God is going to provide....because I know He will.........but maybe Im just tired or losing hope, which I dont want to do...but its so difficult at times...weve been through an awful lot in the last few years.....having dealt with my own cancer and such. I am in remission, by the way...but I am unemployed...and unemployment insurance looks like it might be running out soon....and I know I know I know God will provide as He has before...I just dont want to lose focus and I dont want to worry...
