Veronica One and a half years after moving 3500 miles across the country, my husband, along with 279 other employees were laid off...without notice. Many of his former coworkers are struggling. The majority of them sold everything and packed up their lives to move to another state and start a new life. By the grace of God, we have not been put in a situation where we have to worry or wonder where our next meal will come from or how well pay rent...but unfortunately I cannot say that for everyone else. I ask that you pray with me, that during this trying time those displaced employees find Jesus. That they call upon the Lord and see that can trust Him and lean on Him. I pray that through this, they can grasp an understanding on how much God loves them and how he wants to help them...they just have to let Him in. I pray that everyone affected by this recovers quickly and that depression does not sink in.
I also ask that you pray for my family. My husband does need work, yes. But I pray that the Lord leads us to the place where we can make the most impact for Him. Thank you in advance for your time and dedication to pray with me. We appreciate it. God bless you and yours!! :)

Jonathan Earlier today, Ive met up with an old Jewish friend of mine who was a bully in jr high school, but recently apologised... I gave him our 3rd grade class picture as he was getting at me about it for a few years now. I finally got it to him and we started talking a little bit, and one of the things hes mentioned was how he has his own business and it is corrupted and ran by the mafia, and he loves it. Later on in the conversation, he further tells me how happy he was to see me looking good unlike other people we knew that didnt turn out so well. I tell him how good hes looking and how I bet if I ran a mile, he could still catch me... He then explained how he doesnt do violence anymore, and he was sorry again and how he did a lot of bad things... I told him "Hey.. Ive done bad things to" He then said how he has a lot of Skeletons in his closet... That can mean anything. All I could do at the time was encourage him to stay safe. Gemy Im losing faith. alot of faith. i try to be closer to Him, but idk if its even working. i cant feel His presence. My teacher told me that all i have to do is ask Him to reveal His self to me. i do. for a long time. but nothing happens. another teacher told me to just keep on knocking(Luke 11:5-13). but i have been for years and im getting tired of it. there are alot of mean, wrong, and bad verses in the bible. like this one: "When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property." (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB). and right God flooded thousands of people because they were wicked? and right he knows everything(past,present, and even future) so if he knew that He would create wicked people, why did He just not do it? and in gen., why didnt He forgive Adam and Eve? please answer my questions:(

Jennifer I have a friend who is going through some tough times right now because a year ago her boyfriend broke up with her basically because she was honest about her views on a certain controversial topic. Its been a year, but shes still really depressed by it and she refuses to even look at other guys as options because she feels like shes somehow not being fair to her ex. I also request prayers for this ex-boyfriend - even though I think he was totally unfair in how he treated her, he still desperately needs prayers because he is not a Christian, and that fact is possibly the main reason my friend is so sad.

Lindsay I am a teacher and I absolutely adore my job. I truly feel that my gift to teach is from God and I feel truly blessed. However this is the first time in 5 years that I do not have a teaching position. We have an abundance of teachers in my area and it is very hard to get a job. Please pray that God opens the door to the right teaching position for me! I am able to cover maternity leaves, so my prayer is that God leads me to the right place! Misty My 15 year old son, Damon, just came down with Shingles. The doctor put him on somed pretty hefty pain pills,but he is still in a lot of pain. My son is very active in or churches study groups and helps out with our childens church activities a lot. It is just devistating to him that he has to miss out on these things, but just cant stand the pain enough to go. Please pray for a quick recovery and that the pain goes away when he heals. There is the possibility that this pain can stay with him for years.

L Satan has my husband in such a stranglehold that he cant and wont look for God. PLEASE pray for my husband as he is as close to kicking me out our home as I have ever seen him. He WONT seek Gods will. He can only see the fear that satan has put before him. He is a good man, but is being absolutely spiritually attacked. Joshua Thanks to all of you for all of your prayers and thanks to our loving God! After I posted the prayer request, my sons motivation to stop wetting at night increased dramatically. The last few weeks, he has wet maybe every other night or less. This is a wonderful improvement compared to several times every night. Thanks again so much for you prayers! We love you all!

I am asking if a few of you guys could join me in prayer for my 10 year old son, Isaiah. Its a small problem really; he wets the bed at night. We have seen two dr.s about the issue and they said kids will usually grow out of it by twelve. The prob is we are currently living with my 75yr old grandma and she is a little more old fashioned, I guess, and doesnt believe the dr.s. It is causing problems within the house between her and my wife and I. We have tried many things to help limit his fluid intake before bed, but now the prob is my gma is wanting to go to more extreme mesures of not letting him drink fluids 5 hrs before bed. I think that is a little harsh since I would have a hard time not having anything to drink for that amount of time. I was sitting at my desk, upset over the recent argument, and the Lord put it on my heart to pray for him.....so here I am.Thank you so much,Joshua

Chris My prayer has just been answered. My test has come back negative! One of the hardest/most stressful five days of my life. I have been praying to God and reading the Bible and I see this as a wake up call and Gods way of bringing me back into living a life with Him as the center of my life. Siri My son made it through the surgical procedure without any complications - praise God! Thank you everyone for your prayers! He is in ICU overnight (at OHSU in Portland, Oregon) and will need a follow-up cerebral angiogram in 6 months to see whether or not the problem is "cured." I am still hoping and praying for his salvation....

This condition requires a surgical procedure (embolization) under general anesthesia which will occur on the morning of Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Of course, this procedure does not come without risks (e.g., stroke). Also, I pray that the Lord would reveal Himself to Devrin so that he may be saved and become a believer. Thank you.

Emily Baby Farah only lived one hour after she was born on July 6th at 11:30pm. Thank you everyone for praying. God is upholding us through it all.

At the beginning of the pregnancy, she went in for a routine ultrasound, but it turned out to be anything but routine. The doctors told us that the baby had trisomy 13, a chromosomal abnormality. They said that she would not live more than a few hours after birth, if that much. Other ultrasounds through the months have rendered much the same result, we learned that she has many of the abnormalities common to trisomy 13 babies, including that her kidneys did not appear to be functioning properly, therefore there wasnt enough amniotic fluid and she was breach. The latest two ultrasounds however, show some improvement, the doctor says that the amniotic fluid is up, the babys head is down, and they are confident shell make it to birth, and even think she could very well live several years. However, we are still hoping and praying for complete healing. Thank you to everyone that prays for this. God bless you all.~Emily

Gina I asked c28 to continue praying for me to get a job. I was unemployed since December 2009. Well, I start my new job as an Office Assistant on August 2nd. Im taking a $7 cut in pay but I know my God is faithful and He always provides for me and my family. I do trust in God and I thank Him for all the faithful prayer warriors who have interceded for me! We are a family of 8 and our health insurance was denied, and we need insurance. My empolyer does not offer it because we are a company of less that 40 employees, my wife works part time so she does not qualifiy. The govt issued insurance says we are over qualified. So I need prayer that my wife gets the job she applied for yesterday, so we can get some type of insurance. If not for the whole family then at least for my 6 kids. Nd my morinings are spent mostly meditating on Gods word and talking to him. Dont get me wrong. Its a process and God has moved one mountain out of my life now i am waiting for God to help me overcome lust of girls and guys that i see when i walk in the street. I am really emotional right now because i am fighting this sin. and i am also trying to guard my heart and check it to to make sure i am not on a performance tredmill with God but rather i am staying humble and holding onto the cross. Kaitlynn J God is healing my jaw. its just a time thing. it takes time to heal just like anything else. i finished my therapy that was laser treatment and now im just wearing my appliances like i should be. and will see how that does.

Darcy A week after I posted this Prayer request, My boyfriend broke up with me over the phone. During that week, that I had posted his prayer request... Cody had wanted me to have sex with him and I told him no. I told him also that because of my past with sexual abuse, I fel like I couldnt say no in that situation anyway and I built up enough courage to actually tell him I didnt want to. He told me that He learned a lot dating me about his self, that he had a great time everytime he spent it with me, he wont forget what we had, but he said I am just not ready for this and I dont even know if I am going to spend the rest of my life with you, I might meet someone else down the road and this would have hurt you a lot more if I did this any later than now. I still want to be your friend. I was crying, and his mom said she needed to use the phone so he had to get off it. He then said that it was his time now to go cry and I said Dont go Please and he said I have to. We dicussed that I should be safe too, so I didnt do anythings stupid like hurt myself or kill myself and at first he didnt want me to go to the hospital or Fourwinds. But I asked him to please let me go. So, he did. We both thought it was a good idea so I went to Saratoga Mental Health that night. I stayed there over night, they took some blood, asked questions, and sent me and my mom home at like 4 in the morning in a Taxi. I cried for 6 days straight after the Break up. I didnt go to School for a couple of days and I didnt eat anythink for like 3 or four of those days. I lost wieght, I hardly could sleep, and I miss him a whole lot. I hate it when you break up and continue to remember the time spent having fun with one another,the time spent just being goofy together and how you felt when he said he loved you or just the fact that he liked you,the times when he made you laugh,gave you butterflies,Kissed you,those times he held you when you cried,the secrets you shared,the many hours you spent talking on the phone,and waking up in his arms. I was hurt, but I am learing to move on. I know he wasnt the right guy for me and that I do deserve so much better than him. Thank you all for all of your prayers, it really helped!

My Boyfriend had went to my best friends Prom with her far from Home and stayed the weekend at her house. She had told me that, he ruined Prom for her, because he was rude, obnoxiuos, disrespectful and Complaining a lot all night and pretty much dicthed her to go play Pool with two other guys. She also proceeded to tell me that he continued to tell her that he loved her 4 or 5 times well at her house. She had asked him, Well why are you telling me this? Dont you love Darcy(me)? Cody has been lying to me, flirting with girls right in front of me, and now telling my best friend that he loves Her! Idk know what to do and where to begin to talk to him about it. So, I called boyfriend tonight and he was really mad and said that he didnt want to talk about it. He was being really mean and as I was talking to another friend about the situation and Cody said dont tell him nothing if you do I will punch you both I am not scared. And kept saying I dont want to talk about it and hung up on me. I called back and he hung up again, then I called a third time and he said are you done talking about it? I said Are you done hanging up on me? I do so much for and with Cody. We have went to far physically and He bosss me around and tells me what to do and I do it. I do everything he tells me to. I think of these children as my own already, as if I already know their stories.

Sarah Well...I was told that the whole "Cheesus" thing was just someone being silly. I still think we need to pray for the person. Its not exactly something to joke about, and it shows that the person needs God in their life.
However! I also think we should continue to pray for all who are contemplating abortion; that they will choose life.

well i have alot going on first off my husband is going through a legal battle over somthing that happened a yr ago before we were together. He is having to serve a 14 days in a detention center and this is very hard for us since weve only been married a month and now we have to be separated. Also ive been having a health issue for almost a yr now, i have a lump in my breast which drs say is mastitis but im not nursing or pregnant and havent been either of thse for many yrs so they dont know why i have it and they cant seem to get rid of it. Ive had 3 surgeries in the or and 1 minor surgery in the drs office. Please just say a few prayers for my family so that God will be glorified in all our troubles and that our family will be strengthened. Thank you

JaNique So how about my missions trip is payed for!!! only $400 had to come out of my pocket. God provided me with the strength to do fund raisers for the trip and I raised all the money I needed.
We will be leaving next weekend and I am super excited! God has been preparing my heart and mind and soul for this trip!! I am sooo ready!

My friend Josh Dodge. He has had numerous surgeries where he broke his growth plate..they thought that it had been healed, but when he went to the doctor last week they found out some bad news. I cant share all the details, but basically he can only grow maybe an inch or two the rest of his life.He has to have surgery to remove his growth plates when they get back from D.C.

Rachel God has certainly answered my prayer and brought me closer into fellowship with Him. I have my moments where I worry about things but its easier to catch myself and remind myself with a verse (i.e. Matt 6:33) to remind myself that Hes in control, Hes gonna provide me with what He knows that I need, and all I need to do is trust and seek Him.

Doctors have warned him the next time he may not come out it. Hearing that scares us as his family and we feel we have nothing more to talk to him about or no way of helping him. As if our hands are tied back and now just watch him loose his life to this alcohol. Weve sent him to rehab 3xs already and hell do good for a month or so and hell start again. So, please I come to this website for help through prayer. I, we believe he can get help, not from man but from God before he looses his life to absolutley nothing.
