Christian Singles Valentines Day Encouragement!: :)Valentines day can be a difficult time for many Christian singles that are trying to abstain from sex while waiting for God to send them that special mate. Every year many Christian singles who have fought hard for a long time to finally get their lives right with God drop the ball and blow it on v-day. They have developed a great prayer life and have made all kinds of great Christian single progress towards getting that special mate. Then here comes valentines day! Poof! This is where months and years of christian single progress can be ruined in one day. Seeing all the love stuff around can make you lose your focus and jump on a "temporary love boat" with many others. Many Christian singles dont bounce back too quick or even at all sometimes after the strong conviction and disappointment from their sexual sin kicks in. Some cases have bigger consequences like a unwanted pregnancy or an S.T.D. Oh and to all the ladys, dont fall for the old "I got roses and candy smiles" propaganda you see this month. Flowers and gifts are good but dont look to much into it or feel bad if you dont get anything because a lot of times what you are actually seeing is more like "I only get to hold my mans hand one day/month out the year in public date" day.Also sadly some people celebrating v-day are just "Hey I dont want to marry you but I dont want to be by myself on v-day" temporary, "emotionally risky",dates or sexual hook ups that dont really lead to anything serious. Then there are some couples who dont bond or dont really like each other 11 months out the year and v-day/Feb. is the one day/month they actually get intimate or bond with each other since they first got married. So stay strong Christian single guys and gals! Be happy for those you see enjoying love but never covet because like some people say, "All glitter aint gold." Pray away all those negative single life thoughts! Be patient and happy during valentines day knowing that a mate sent from God is way better than a one day one month temporary hook up!:)

J & J My (29yo) Husband was offered an expensive procedure to insert permanent teeth implants, pro-Bono(free) which is a HUGE blessing; now we have to come up with the funds for the trips down south (6 hour drive, that weve made twice now and will again 2 more times) and the expensive teeth in the next 4-6 months. He is also having two wisdom teeth removed before the implants are done, and because of their location near the nerve there is cause for concern - but we are giving this to God to handle. We are so very thankful to the Dr for offering this procedure and to the Heavenly Father for blessing us with this incredible opportunity! We have signed the release forms for the video interview, photographs and procedure video to be published. My husbands case will be made public to a medical study group (In Sacramento, CA) and online on the Doctors site, filmed and other Doctors will be in the room during the procedure for educational purposes. We are excited; not nervous or worried about the procedure but are focused on saving money to co-labor with God on this blessing. God has been calling my Husband and myself to a mission trip to Rwanda Africa with our church later this year, we want to go but will have to see how the Father has everything planned for us. All prayers are greatly appreciated. We cant wait for this to be done so we can share an incredible testimony of the Fathers grace and love. Thank you for your time! - The Hoovers

Jessica My daughter is a year old and has severe eczema. She is highly allergic to a lot of fruits and vegetables, such as apples, carrots, bananas and every time she eats them, her lip starts to swell and she gets itchy everywhere. She is still highly dependent on her soy milk formula, but she doesnt receive the proper nutrients she needs to grow up healthy and strong. Please help me pray that either she grows out of these allergies or we find a medication she can take so she can tolerate eating.

Michelle A friend of mines 2 year old daughter has a rare, aggressive Rhabdoid Tumor. Shes been going through chemo the past 3 weeks and tomorrow they do an MRI to see if its small enough to consider surgery. I believe without a doubt in the power of prayer and what it can do. Chase I am asking for prayer for a young gentlemen named Haas aka Severial. I recently moved to Watford City, ND for work and he is a kitchen employee in the one of the gas stations I consult for. His mother essentially abandoned him out here to find work since it is oil country and jobs are easy to find. This is despite him being mentally slow and havening never met his father. Since Ive been her he has been dealing with a very serious infection on his lower leg which recently took a turn for the worse. Apparently he had been going to the doctor when the pain got bad but they only prescribed him antibiotics and took no further action. Safe to say the medical care is sub par in these parts and they will be held accountable for mal practice if need be. Regardless...on his two quarter size holes in his leg started bleeding two days ago and he nearly bled to death. Currently he is in the hospital awaiting diagnosis and a potential transfer to a better equipped location. Just to give a visual, from about the knee down, his leg is black and blue with two large sores that are continually inflamed. I am very worried that he will lose his leg and potentially his life. My prayer is for complete healing of his leg, rebuking in the name of Jesus of the infection, and the best care possible. Let me add that this is one the nicest individuals a person could ever meet...he extremely kind hearted and in need of loving prayers.

Levi Hey all! Just asking for some prayer. Im in a hard spot in life right now. i have been trying to save money and ready myself to marry my amazing (and very anxious) girlfriend of two years. 3 weeks ago, i got unemployed, im trying to find work, but just doesnt seem to be much out there, and im having a hard time hearing God on what he wants me to do. things have just been overwhelming, there are alot of mountains i have to cross this season (including a potential health issue and some other very personal things). The enemy has been planting fears, anxiety, and discouragement in my path through all of this. i dont even know what to do or really where to start. i feel like im on a time limit and if it runs out, im going to lose everything. i love my girlfriend very much, please pray for her, pray she can be of good courage through this, be extremely patient, have some trust in me, but above all trust Jesus with this situation. She is my best friend and i cant bear the idea of losing her. Pray our relationship is made stronger through this season, and we grow together more than ever, in trust, in love, and in God. This is a hard situation, it may seem not too bad, i cant share the all the details, but it is so hard on me and im just very worn. pray for my faith, and trust in the Lord. pray i dont get lazy and work hard for this desire, but i also dont get ahead of myself and run in front of him. i need peace, wisdom, and Godly motivation. Lana We are in need of moving into a home and want to buy one. We are on a limited budget, but we need to have my Mother come and live with us. We want it to be the Lords Will and in His time not in ours. We have looked at 2 houses just online and are praying, too. I also have health issues (asthma, COPD, diabetes, obesity, ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease, diverticulitis, menstrual issues, etc.) that have kept me from working since 1998 and I have been on SSD since. There are so many people in more desperate need of prayer than I/us so it seems odd to be asking for prayer over a THING. My health is at stake due to a possible surgery to remove or resection the bowel and being overweight. I am in the process of dieting and have lost 15 lbs. but I have lost some momentum and need prayer for this as well. Thank you in advance! Oh, how HE LOVES you and me!

Patricia My name is Patricia Stoddard, I live in Spokane WA, and am a member of North Addison Baptist Church. On Nov.26th I had surgery on my neck to have disks C4 and C5 replaced also to fuse disks C6 and C7 . I will be in a neck brace for about eight weeks (Dec.-Jan.) Im asking for prayer that the bones will knit well and that the titanium plate and screws that fuse the disks will take hold. The pain during recovery has been pretty intense too. When healed it would be wonderful if there would finally be some relief of my chronic pain Iissues.

catherine My mother has COPD and has been in the hospital for the last week and a half. She is scared and just wants to come home. She has had COPD for 10 years and this is her second copd flare up that has put her in the hospital. She is on oxygen 24/7 and can barely do anything anymore. She fights on for her family. Her husband, her daughter (myself), her son and my daughter, ( her 4 year old granddaughter) Please pray for her recovery and long life. I pray every night and hope she will get more strength to come home.

O.0 Thanks everyone for your prayers. We just heard my grandfather has past away. Im very sad. My strength is in God alone. Please pray for my family, this is really discouraging to loose him. God has taught me through this though that His will be done, and He is a good and just God and knows what it is right. My dad use to tell me all the time when I was a little kid that I didnt always have to know the answer to things. That use to drive me crazy. Now i understand... I dont always know what God plans or what He allows something to happen, but I can have comfort in knowing He knows best. :)

Please pray for my grandfather. He had some cancer in his lung, and when they went to take it out, they found more. So they had to take more out which caused him to only have one working lung. So hes recovering from that surgery and they I think are still deciding on what to do next with more cancer being in him. But then he got pneumonia. So now his body is trying to recover from a surgery, he still has cancer in him we think, and hes got pneumonia on top of that. His heart rate has been kind of out of whack too. Hes stronger than most older guys the nurse said, were thankful for that, but hes still old. Theyre not sure if he will make it or not. They were waiting for a "break" for something to happen but last night it got worse, so. Please pray for his healing. His wife is very emotional about it, so are the rest of us, but especially her. They dont hurt and I am thanking God for that because the pain was unbearable. Stephen God is amazing, the tumor which was in her lung has decreased in size by 15%, and according to the doctors, she is almost healed by medical standards. I know that God is going to do more abundantly than what we ask or what we think, and the healing is there we just have to cry out. Thank you God for being the absolute in our lives!

As of January of this year, my sister, her name is Amy, of 23 years old was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, which is a cancer that mainly affects toddlers and rarely if ever affects anyone over 5 years old I think. The X-rays revealed a massive tumor or mass in her right lung that has gradually been getting smaller with chemotherapy but it is still there and she has to breath through a tube. As if this wasnt enough, her colon wall is swollen and she cannot eat, they can only give her nutrients. Please cry out for her because this is a woman who truly loves God with everything she has, were not giving up on her and I tell her all the time that she is not alone in this fight, she has friends, family and churches behind her but the more people praying the better.

Holly The Lord graciously ended the suffering of a 9 year old boy when He called the child home. The community has lost a light. Heaven is much brighter because Luke it there. I continue to hold his family up in prayer.

sophia Della is out of the hospital after brain surgery. She had the surgery on Tuesday, woke up Wednesday...and was released today. I spoke to her yesterday:)) she sounded great. Thank you for your prayers. To God Be The GLORY!!!

Della, she is 39yrs old and has a brain tumor that is on a main nerve. She had it operated on 6mos ago and it has grown back. She was facing death during surgery and brain damage. Her speech is slow and memory is not the same. The tumor has grown back and drs in Colorado will not perform another surgery. She found dr who will but is in Arizona on May 18th. She had to rent a car because hers was totalled last week, a car with bad breaks ran into them. She is fiancially struggling. Her doctor put her out on medical leave, if she does not get back to work within 6mos she will lose her job. She suffers terrible headaches and is tired much of the time which is unusual for her. She is the only one working, her husband has a back injury. She has a beautiful heart, she moved her mom in and took total care of her when her mom was diagnosed with cancer. Her mom passed away in her arms. At that time Della was struggling financially too. SHe has been the only one working for about 8yrs now. Anytime she hears of someone being sick, she makes sure there are people praying for them. She fears leaving her husband, boys, and 3 grandchildren. Please pray for her. It is a very risky surgery and only this dr would agree to operate. Thank you.

Restored10 Thank you guys for your prayers and they were answered. She went home a few days ago and is doing well. It looks like there will be no need for a pacemaker at this point and her heart is doing better. Thank you again C28 family!!

Kasey Thanks everyone for praying for me. :) I wasnt expecting that many responses. I have been doing a lot better thanks to God. I havent given into temptation in well over a week. I know that doesnt sound like a long time, but I feel a lot more confident and Im still leaning on God to help me. Once again, thanks for praying. :)

I struggle with temptation/sexual immorality/lust a lot, and just when I thought I had overcome it, it just comes back.. and Im really struggling, and I feel so dirty and worthless right now. I know Jesus died so that my shame can go away.. but right now I am just hurting really bad, and praying and worshipping God.. so please, anyone, I appreciate it more than anything else if you take the time to pray for me. I need God to purify me more than He has before. This guilt needs to be gone. Thank you guys for your prayers.. love you all.

trueblue84 Ive struggled with this before. God will guide you. Its best to remove any temptation. Block things out. Reject any impure thoughts in Jesus name. Fill it with Gods word and good images.

We are kind of at the end of our rope financially..and today I just felt really OK about it knowing that God is going to provide....because I know He will.........but maybe Im just tired or losing hope, which I dont want to do...but its so difficult at times...weve been through an awful lot in the last few years.....having dealt with my own cancer and such. I am just recovering from an expensive knee surgery and my parents are in a financial struggle as many people are during this time. Sports are my life and to endure another surgery would be very difficult for me physically and also financialy for my parents. Prayer for my son, his wife, and their 3 babies. They seem to continually get sick. Jessica, the wife, is sick a lot too. Shes negative quite a bit and seems to have a bad attitude mostly. Please pray that this spirit of darkness glooming around them and their home will go away. I know they are in a spiritual battle. My son is involved in the church and everytime he wants to get more involved, the illnesses happen. So frustrating for me as Im picking up all the slack, helping out, and Im becoming exhausted and frustrated. Please pray for Joey, Jessica, Alexa, Hayden and baby Joey. God Bless!

So I went to the Doctors this week and as it would turn out my heart isnt acting as it should. Im only 19 years old, so this is kinda concerning to the doctors. I go back for more tests next Friday, hopefully this will bring some more answers. Im scared because my symptoms are similar to the symptoms my mom experienced just before the doctors discovered she has a bad valve. If you could, please pray that theres nothing serious going on with my heart, and for the courage and faith to hold to God no matter what the outcome of these tests are. thanks =)
