I dont know if this is already on here but here we go. One of my favorite quotes is one from my Pastor and spiritual father Daniel Segui:

"Your circumstances dont dictate what you do for God."

My friends youth pastor (we go to a different church) once got a word from God, and it was: "Absence of prayer is absence of presence, and absence of presence is absence of power." I thought that was really powerful.

Also, theres a quote from one of my favorite musicians, David Hodges: ""Maybe the real reason God hates divorce is because He hates to see His creation, His most loved and prized possession hurt; and divorce hurts us so much. It breaks our trust, deconstructs our hopes, and tears apart our hearts."

One more.. this one is by Gregg Harris: If Jesus is Lord, then nobody else is Lord. Not your self, not your parents, not your spouse, not your boss, not your pastor, not the government, not money, not sex, nothing. Jesus is Lord. His will is now more than your law, it is your delight. Doing His will is the only sane thing to do in light of who He is and what He has accomplished. Anything else would be crazy."

Btw, I especially like the one from David Hodges because my parents divorced in 2000.. so I can definitely relate to that.

I like the one, Do hard things. Its from the teenage rebellion against low expectations that those two teenagers started. Its popular now.

i love the "do hard things" one too! heres one i got from an email: i want to be the kind of woman who, when her feet hit the floor in the morning, satan goes, "oh crap! shes up!" XD

Daniel - 12/16/09 @ 10:08 PM

any normal man can seek revenge; but it takes a GREAT man to forgive-thought of this one myself too. but im sure someone else has said something similar, or even exact, i wont take the credit

lifes tough, pray hard-my bumper sticker

fight to save your life, surrender to save your soul-thought of this myself, have it tattooed on my arm

when life knocks you to your knees, your in the perfect position to pray!-dont know who wrote this one.

Crazy Rocker Barbie - 12/17/09 @ 12:55 PM

ooo! i love that last one daniel! heres an idea to think about; if satan isnt bothering you, you must be doing something wrong. when youre having a rough time, consider this; you must be especially beautiful and glorious for the devil to hate you so much. you must be doing something right. : )

Nails didnt hold Jesus to the cross, His love for me did.

"A man can no more diminish Gods glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling darkness on the wall of his cell."- C.S. Lewis

That quote makes me chuckle at imagining the latter part of the quote but most importantly makes me think.

Kasey - 12/17/09 @ 3:05 PM

Barbie I love that one! "if satan isnt bothering you, you must be doing something wrong. when youre having a rough time, consider this; you must be especially beautiful and glorious for the devil to hate you so much. you must be doing something right. : )"

The inspector of all the methodist churches in Lancshire told us a story that is still in my head:

There once was a old lady who lived in a old house, it was a dirty house, all on her own. The children didnt like her so htey throught stones at the window and waited for her to get to the door to yell at them and then they would run.
Then one day there was a knock at the door. "Who could that be?" said the old lady. So slowly she got out of her chair and walked slowly to the door. She opened it. There was no one there. She was about to shut the door when a little voice said " excues me?"
The old lady looked down to see, was it a fairy?
"Yes," said the lady,"c can I help you?"
"I have a present for you" said, was it a fairy?
"A present for me?" the old woman said shocked," I cant remember the last time I got a present!"
And then the, was it a fairy? Gave here a white rose.
The lady took it inside and put it in a jar of water.
"Goodness!" Exclamed the old woman,"the table is filthy!"
So she grabbed a cloth and cleaned the table. Then she cleaned the carpet, then she did the washing up. She, very slowly, cleaned the house up.
The next day the children started to throw stones at the window and the old lady as usual went to the door but instead of shouting she said, " come in and look at my beutiful rose."
The children were horrified but they went in and looked at the rose and how tidy the house now was. They promised the old lady they would never through stones at her window again.
Then later that night there was a knock at the door, the old ladys heart sank. She had a feeling who it would be. Slowly she went to the door, and as she gussed there was, was it a fairy?
"You have come for your the rose havent you?" said the old lady, tears were comming to her eyes.
The, was it a fairy? Looked round at how the house had changed. Then, was it a fairy? Looked at the old lady and smiles
"No" said the, is it a fairy. Just look after it.

Explanation: The fairy is actually a angle. The flower is god. God will loves us only if we are prepared to keep him and not to forget about him.

God bless...

Rob.

my favorite quote is from myself

"What is life without the sorrow? It lets us know are heart is till beating and aches for something more! yet what is life with out joy? the ending of sorrow, that puts the breath back to our lungs and shows us truely what it means to live!"

i just came to me and i posted it on facebook and come to learn someone had just died and that quote was needed by many people i believe God had that exact purpose for that quote.
