Still plans are trying to get pushed through to build a mosque at the site of ground zero. I think this is just a terrible thing and would be a big shame that a mosque would be put there or anywhere at all. You hear people who try to defend the muslim religion and there words are as almost sugar coated lies. The muslim faith is growing as young men and women are being taught the lies of the muslim faith. They try and tell you they believe the bible and believe Jesus was real but they deny to tell you they dont believe Jesus to be the saviour of man. They claim their faith is all about peace and tolerance when clearly it is the exact opposite. Its sad to see these people heading down a path of destruction. Many Americans hate these muslims and curse them but we as Christians need to do something for them, help them somehow see the real truth. Some young muslims are scared to leave their faith due to the fact it is taught that anyone who converts away from Islam needs to be killed. These people need help along with any other believer in another false religion.

A question is, what can we do?

Man.. i saw this on GodTube...makes my mind up ina twist! I, ugh. It shouldnt be allowed. I mean, this is a free country, but not in Manhattan. Not there..
*edit: Yes, this is a free country and we have to right to worship what we want. But this particular worship should not be allowed in Manhattan..not there.not after 9/11

I am totally against tolerance since I read the book "Sinner" by ted dekker we have to fight it but with peace not war because if we are cruel to them it justifies there actions in the minds of many that "christians" are the cruel, brutal, people and muslims are the peaceful, correct ones.

I heard about this over the radio! Its like a slap in the face. Yes, I know its not directly on Ground Zero but its only a block or two away. I know were supposed to be tolerant, but come on. The placement of it stinks

Sarah, you asked what we can do? We cry out to the God we know.

We were just talking about this at my church yesterday! It was an interesting conversation because although my church is extremely small there are two Iranian women there so they had some really interesting things to say about it.

Curious Vanessa what was there thoughts?
Vanessa - 8/9/10 @ 6:58 PM
Well the big thing was that America claims to be a Christian nation yet we allow the Muslims to build a mosque here. In a "muslim country" there is absolutely no way a Christian church (or a meeting place of any other religion) would ever be built. They described how strict it is in Iran. There would not even be mention of a Christian church without heads rolling for it.
Just to be clear....Im majorly paraphrasing here. This was a half hour long discussion.

Oh ok I got ya, but they are right!
jake - 8/9/10 @ 7:53 PM
This here gets my blood pressure all outta whack. I know that this is a country of freedom of religion, however when a group of muslims slam a plane into our buildings and start getting demolished by our military, its kinda ridiculous to try to build a mosque there... Thats my 2 cents.
Sarah - 8/10/10 @ 5:10 AM
Yeah, like, who is responsible for the 9/11 attacks, anyway?
I know Im Canadian, but I still dont like it--and we did lose people in the attacks.
And were Allies. =)
PutHisBloodOnIt - 8/10/10 @ 6:28 AM
Osamna Bin Laden and some people in his lil group has took responsibility in planning the attacks.
Sarah - 8/10/10 @ 9:09 AM
Haha, I know that, Bob... Are they not Muslim????
My point: Why build a mosque, when/if the very people who caused all this pain are Islamic?
Seems to me thats glorifying the attackers.
fight.for.Christ. - 8/10/10 @ 9:14 AM
@ Sarah:
Exactly. I dont know why the government is even debating over this. Politics these days :(
Japlace - 8/10/10 @ 9:17 AM
Yup Sarah, that is exactly why we are like what in the world?! Cuz its a total slap in the face of everyones families who lost a love in the attack, and to America!
fight.for.Christ. - 8/10/10 @ 9:24 AM
Exactly, it would be like building a bomb factory in Hiroshima or Nagasaki.
Japlace - 8/10/10 @ 9:31 AM
An American bomb factory, ffC. Good point.
Its just something thats completely unnecessary! Theres plenty of other places they can put one.
@Vanessa. Yes, we are a Christian based country, or at least we founded it upon the basis of Christ. But we also made it a free country. Free for any religion to worship and praise who they wanted. These are the rights that our brave men and women still fight for. Its just that its totally inappropriate to build one within blocks of the very place of 9/11.
PutHisBloodOnIt - 8/10/10 @ 10:24 AM
Because Sarah these people who are trying to build the mosque are saying its a symbol of peace and are trying to convince others that Islam is a peaceful and tolerant religion. But we all know of a mosque is built at the heart of 9/11 all the terrorists are gonna view it as a victory and give them more motivation!
Sarah - 8/10/10 @ 5:17 PM
Oh lovely... They are so peaceful that they kill masses of innocent people? They are so peaceful that they teach their followers to kill and commit suicide?
If there is peace, why are our troops fighting and dying for this cause????
It doesnt make ANY sense!
jake - 8/10/10 @ 7:28 PM
Yeah we are also free from religious persecution (or so its supposed to be) but I guess terrorism in the religious section doesnt apply here?
