Generation Savers posted in General on 12/7/09 @ 2:08 PM by Stephen

We, as Christians, as youth in (not part of) this world, we need to take a stand and save this generation. We have to leave the mediocrity, laziness and the shame at home in a closet somewhere and stand firm in the promise that God said in His Word. So, you think you cant do much because your by yourself? One person can make all the difference in the world, a world of strife and chaos, one person can mean the difference if a soul gets saved or not. We are destined to be soldiers and warriors in Gods army, the question is, have you enlisted?

amen :)

Alpha - 12/7/09 @ 10:21 PM

There would be much less strife and chaos if religious zealots stopped trying to convert everyone.

The NaMez ShawN - 12/8/09 @ 9:41 AM

Alpha - And probably a lot less people going to Heaven also.

Alpha - 12/8/09 @ 10:21 AM

I doubt it.

Stephen - 12/8/09 @ 3:18 PM

Yeah? Well there are so-called religious "zealots" as you call them and then there are those who give you a choice, as to whether or not to want Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Its all about choices. To many, Christianity may seem like a simple religion, but its much more than that, its a relationship

Stephen - 12/8/09 @ 3:21 PM

Besides, all the mess that is in this world isnt all due to religion, like I said above, its choices but it is also pride, arrogance, attitudes, selfishness...etc

Paige - 12/8/09 @ 6:53 PM

agreed shawn.
if someone never told them, how would they ever know?

The NaMez ShawN - 12/8/09 @ 7:26 PM

Your exactly right Paige. I dont agree with being Bible pushers, or with being pushy at all, but we are in a spiritual war and the enemy is out their working hard. We need to be doing the same, although with kindness.

Mason - 12/9/09 @ 2:45 PM

we may not need to be Bible pushers, but we have to use the Bible to fight the spiritual war. it is our most powerful weapon

Paige - 12/9/09 @ 5:56 PM

True that! What does the Word say... that its our sheild?
dont quote me... cause i forget where it talks bout the "Armor of God"

Mason - 12/9/09 @ 6:48 PM

sword paige. how can you not know that? and its also sharper than any two edged sword

Stephen - 12/9/09 @ 8:57 PM

Some of you say that we cant be "Bible pushers", whatever that means, but think about this, this world is a violent place where everyday people are sowing negative things and ideas that can pit you against the Kingdom and will of God. If there is going to be anyone violent(in the spirit), why shouldnt it be us? The Bible does say that the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and only the violent take it by force.

The NaMez ShawN - 12/9/09 @ 9:27 PM

Im meaning the people that go around saying things like, "YOU MUST ACCEPT CHRIST OR YOUR GOING TO BURN IN THE FIERY DEPTHS OF HELL YOU SINNER!!" Unfortunately, many are like that and I dont agree with it at all. I really like this quote, although I dont remember who its from:
"Preach the Gospel at all time; use words if necessary."

Vanessa - 12/9/09 @ 9:33 PM

I really like that quote. I think it describes our mission as Christians perfectly.

Stephen - 12/10/09 @ 12:07 AM

I know what you mean man and ill agree, there are people who do overdo it

Jacob R. Collins - 12/10/09 @ 9:33 AM

Yeah, your right, let us conform to this world and give everyone hugs and kisses, and cookies, I like cookies.

Ephesians 6: 12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We are in a battle, not a pillow fight. On the same note as to what Stephen was saying, Christians are under a direct attack and if we just go into the world telling everyone that Jesus loves you then we are not doing are job. Jesus is a big part of the message but so is hell. Allot of preachers today wont even preach on "that" topic because it might offend some limp wrist ed feminist "christian".

So what am I saying. Go into all the world and offend everyone. No, but at lease act like we are in a battle, the opposing team, so to say, does not care if it offends Christians. Why should we be scared to offend our enemy. Their is a balance between justice and mercy, Preach the love of God, but dont be scared to preach about hell, allot of people are on their way there and they dont even know, that is why we must help them see where they are going.

Sorry if I offended anyone but I really see this as a big issue in the lives of modern day Christians.

Stephen - 12/10/09 @ 6:52 PM

There are always going to be Christian individuals who feel as though the "basic" (meaning praying, fasting and being holy)is enough, I mean dont get me wrong, that is a big part of it but its not everything. We need to grow boldness and be radical, go out to the world and preach this gospel with the whole armor of God.

Jacob R. Collins - 12/10/09 @ 7:06 PM

Right on bro...

Stephen - 12/10/09 @ 7:11 PM

Thanks man

Stephen - 12/18/09 @ 2:58 PM

We have to have that passion for the lost. When I pray, I picture all the faces of the people that are not saved and it fuels and drives me further.
