well the lock in we had wasnt games or anything like that, it was from 10 to 6 in the morning praying and crying out all night for this generation

well, I was going to offer an idea, but Stephen has the right mindset. I think that is the kinda lock in I want to go to

Haha, I thought you were talking about a jail... ;P Shows how much I know about that sort of thing! =D

Yes, I think Stephen has a good idea. =)

For our lock in we did like some strobe light volleyball (which turned into a dance off) and we did some hard core dodge ball... and someother things that i dont even know what there were called :)

anymore ideas??

Japlace - 7/28/10 @ 5:39 PM

Worship! I love to worship! and why not worship, then have some fun with these games people are suggesting?

I love the idea of having an all game lock-in, but in the long run, its about HIM. And nothing gets me more excited than Jesus! So bro, i think you should apply both of these mindsets to your lock-in :)

(and you should play a hugggge game of spoons! thatd be saweeeet!

Hey!! The worship thing is great, but I have to say, the lockins I've gone to, we usually just hang out and get sick of each other. :P I'm thinkin I cn help you out though, becquse my youth teqcher is reqlly great with coming up with games to keep us busy.
Once, we had a food war, and not like the kind when you throw food around, This one was where our group devided into teams, and each team was given a bag of snack food. We were to eat all the food as fast as we could, and the team who won got the prize! Our youth teacher can be mean, so he snuck some baby food in the bags! :O
Another is kind of gross, and I'd hate to be the one doing it, but it's fun to watch! :P My youth teacher had three from our group place a net stocking over there head, like a robber, and see how much of a bannana they could eat through the stocking. It's terrible, I know, but he's barely an adult! Haha!!
Ummm, a good game to keep busy is spoons, and it's really lots of fun when everyone is super tired and hyped up on soda! :P If you don't know where it is... Well you might want to Google it because I don't know if I could explain it right. It's a lot of fun!!!
I hope I helped! Maybe I can think of some more. :)
Rock on!
-Abi.

Games are fun, but really, like Stephen and Japlace suggested do something that honours God and grows you in your walk with Him. Spend time doing hard-core Bible study, sharing with another, discussing the Word of God, and worshiping the Lord. These things last longer than playing a game and drinking soda!

Shawn - 4/9/13 @ 12:28 AM

But playing games are important part of building fellowship together although without prayer, devotions, and worship then its useless. There is a balance to it. For a lock in we will do some variety of games like dodgeball, ultimate, or dance competition, etc... But at the same time we also have time set apart to pray and get into God's word.

KingsKid2 - 4/13/13 @ 10:22 AM

and yes, games are not bad either!
