Well, I wasnt always strong bud. It took me a lot of time for me to figure out who God really was. I really dont know how to fully answer your question on how to stay strong. I can try? Sound good? Haha.. A verse that has really helped me in Psalm 23:4, it basically says that no matter what youre going through God is there with you to help you along with it.. This means a lot to me just because of the things I have been through in my past.. For me, after I read the story of what God did for us, and all that He went through for us to be saved.. It just really showed me a love that I was taking advantage of by not living my life for him.. Ya know? Also, Ephesians 2:8-9 (New American Standard Bible)
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."
To me, this verse proves the point that God came and saved us, HE did it, not us. And I think that is something that is really important to know when it comes to being in a strong relationship with God. You have to completely understand the fact then when you become a Christian you arent on your own anymore.. Check out Galations 2:20..

accountability partners are a great thing to have. i have two, and we meet up once a week to see how our walk with Christ is goin and to see if we need prayer in a certain area. we will pray togather and have bible studies also. it really does help keep me strong in my walk

Thats very true, having someone there for you that can hold you accountable is something that really does work.

Amen to everything that was said on here! Accountability partner is probably one of the best ideas out there! It really does help you stay on track and focus on your walk with Christ.

Just to have a friendship where you are each looking out for the other person instead of yourself is quite an experience.. I think as soon as you live your life not for yourself, but for others, then you realize a lot of things about yourself and about life.
