From what Ive heard from older christians at church and my bible study is that the bible doesnt really cover that topic and we will just have to find out when we get there.
Well, I like to say that our God is the God of mercy and justice. He wont send an infant to hell. The word talks about an age where we begin to recognize our sinful side. Where we come in touch with our flesh but idk where it is.
The word says that God beats His chest at the death of an innocent AND He hates abortion. Because it kills innocent people. Logically an infant is innocent. Im sure it is covered in grace.
Again. God is a judge. Not a machine and no one lives or dies except at the command of our God. He knows whats up
I do know that in Matthew, it talks about how God doesnt want "any of these little ones to perish."
This is something Ive struggled with a lot, because my baby brother was stillborn. So its like, okay, is he in heaven, and do babies grow or stay tiny?
well does that mean that Jesus died for our inequities.... So even though the babies die they go to heaven...nd i guess we no longer die for our inequities...we just die for the sins we commit on earth...then that poses a greater question why does the five year old give their life to christ so young?
They are reborn. And why would they go to hell? What kind of father would send there child to hell? Not my father.my father is perfect, merciful, and just god.you being imperfect would not send your child to hell so why would god?hell does not exist.god would never make a place.
If hell exist then who made it?And if god created hell, then hes not perfect, merciful, and just god, because a perfect god wouldnt make a place like hell for his lost children.
Its very simple,If god is perfect, why would he make a place to torment his lost children.if god is love ,why would he make a place that has no love in it.god dose it have to use the fear of hell or death to be loved.what would that proved if the only reason we do good is so we wont be sent to hell.does that sound like a perfect god to you.all god ask of us is to love him first above anything or one and to love others like ourselves.if we choose not to then we choose to stay lost and away from him.there is no need for hell or eternal punishment.thats why the law of cause and effect was made.god does not punish you, your own actions punish you.your actions are the cause of your punishment not god.god does not cause suffering we do.
"what would that proved if the only reason we do good is so we wont be sent to hell" The word says that "Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." John 6:29 We are saved by Jesus. Saved by His grace and sacrifice. That is what the books Romans and Galatians and Corinthians I and II and Ephesians and Hebrews all say.
That is the "good" we do. Is 64:6 says "And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment..." We dont get into heaven by works. We cant. It is by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus.
".if we choose not to then we choose to stay lost and away from him.there is no need for hell or eternal punishment" You contradicted yourself here. You said that above, and you said that ... "god is love" and "god is perfect" but... "then we choose to stay lost and away from him"
There you have it. Hell is a place where we go when we completely leave His presence. That is also why the word says. "Depart from Me you who practice lawlessness." Would it help if we didnt call it Hell? A rose by any other name is still a rose.
"god does not cause suffering we do." Then why does the word say that God destroyed Israel and Judah. Completely assimilated Israel, they do not exist anymore. Just because He lets you breath doesnt mean He cant take your breath away.
Right I agree with you God does not send people to hell, we ourselves actually do if we do not believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as our saviourand die in our sins. But if you say there is no hell then what is the punishment for not believing in christ and dieing in your sins? If there was no hell or punishment for our sins then why did Jesus die on the cross.
First, i struggled with this a long time after what i had done. the reason we need saved is because we are born sinners. however, i must believe that my God is just.
God is a God of justice and mercy and grace. all three are very different things. and dont get mercy and grace mixed up. mercy is not getting what you deserve and grace is getting what you dont deserve. He is love. and in love, is the need for punishment and correction. He laid down the law and should it be broken, there will be consequences.
and i have been saying this from day 1. God made freewill. Freewill created sin, death, and hell. even the angels have freewill. God did not want robots. Lucifer, the right hand of God, fell. he created hell. this isnt a = b = c therefore a =c. its not that.
if there was no light would there be dark? if there was no hot would there be cold? if there was no good would there be evil? this world He created came with infinite opposites. without one, there would be no other.
to sarah, have you ever been drunk and have had a hangover the next day?who (caused) you to get drunk and have a hangover(effect)you or god?i believe God is the father and Jesus is the son of god.Jesus did not have to die he willfully did so to fulfill all that was written.he is the way you should go,the truth you should know and the life you should live.

So what do you say to non-believers who are mourning a death of a new born child?

When a child made wrongs, he has to be punished...
PutHisBloodOnIt - 7/18/10 @ 3:22 PM
Then in your opinion Isaac why does Jesus often talk about hell?

Exactly. If there is no punishment, why would Jesus have to die for us?
Do you believe that Jesus is God, Isaac?
Im just wondering...

What is the punishment for denying Christ then? What happens to those who has chosen not to be saved?
