Sorry... I have all these ideas and my brain is fried from school. Sooooo, what do you guys think about rap/hiphop music? I really like the beats, but I get so frustrated with the lyrics. I recently found LeCrae and I love, love, love him!!!! What do you have to say?

I love christian hip hop and I listen to it all the time! Me and a friend of mine even attempt to make some songs lol =)
But Ive heard a good amount and I have been able to best connect with LaCrae. Some others are Urban D, Tedashi, Da Truth, Flame (pretty sure thats rap cant remember), G.R.I.T.S., K-Drama, Kutless, and theres others.
I love it because before I gave my life to Christ I was a huge mainstream hip-hop fan and I know theres alot of cultured people out there who can connect on a higher level with God through this genre.

I have to agree with Shawn. Christian rap and hiphop was some of the first CDs I got when I started to drift away from mainstream music.
I suggest checking out an artist called Crucial. Hes based out of North Carolina and puts out a yearly compilation called Music Meets the Truth. Artists from all over the country work on this CD every year and its a free download available at beatlab7.com.

I've been listening to rap more and more, especially cuz I've been digging new guys who really go hard for Christ in their songs. Some of the guys I am really listening to more and more are, Pro, Lecrae, Tedashii, 116, Sho Baraka, Trip Lee, and Viktroy. Check 'em out on iTunes, they got some pretty radical albums.
