its not what most people generally think (do good things, work hard, etc, etc).
face the facts: heaven is impossible to get into. but with God, all things are possible :) (which is the grace and faith thing)
and people have different views on other ways to get into heaven (what you have to/should do). theres isnt really a general thing; its not set in stone.
from a personal point of view, it entails loving God with your whole being and showing the world who he is (but thats just me :) )

repentance isnt just "God forgive me!" but it means to turn from sin and turn towards God

The thing is that people say they believe, and continue to live how they live. if you do then you do not truly believe. If you did then you would want to do what the Lord says. The works do not get you into heaven, but they help assure your salvation. Trying to stop sinning because you dont want to isnt going to get you saved. Faith gets you saved, and wanting to quit sinning because you hate sin is an evidence of salvation.

I agree with you all: We have to follow Gods will, to love him, to repent ourself, to be faithful and to want to quit sinning. (We"ll never quit sinning, because we"re not perfect, but we have to do our best)

living by the Word of God, not just parts and take out parts we dont want to do. We no longer own ourselves when we come to Christ, we are sold to him to follow him. Our desires become what God desires. We no longer want what we used to want.

Love it. If we believe in our hearts that Christ is risen and confess with our mouth the Jesus is Lord we will be saved.
