yes, i believe they are. I mean, theyre no repentance sermon, but they are effective in regards to what they were created for. to get someone thinking... And when when someone reads, "Not Of This World". It gets them thinking! :) So yes, in my opinion, they are effective. But that doesnt mean you should have them on your car to be a "good" Christian. Im just replying to the question at hand :)
The best stickers are the stickers that just have the verse like john 3:16 but without showing the scripture verse. It gets people wondering what that verse is so they write it down or memorize it and they go home and look it up. Its a clever lil way to get people to open up a bible who normally wouldnt.
But theyre a flip side to that PHBOI. That being if someone reallllly doesnt like reading the Bible or someone who doesnt know what John 3:16 is, they will disregard the reference altogether. But when a actual text reading "God has a plan for you. C28.com" or something like that is read, they are interested and encouraged right there. Rather than having the reader of the plate/sticker having to do all the work of looking of the scripture, you give them a teaser, and a reference. :)
has anyone actually seen a bumper sticker influence someones life like that? like in someones testimony? lol just wondering... bc i was thinking about that today x]
yeah, i agree with PHBOI, i mostly like the ones with a hardcore message, that offends people not of the faith. People who arent saved should hate us for our faith because its against their nature.
Well maybe its just me cause when I see a sticker with just the verse without the actual verse scripture on there I have to write it down and look it up! Other than that I know of no stories of stickers really changing anyones lives!
Of course their effective. Ive known so many people who got saved by reading a Christian bumper sticker or Christ centered license plate. God plants seeds through Christ centered stickers and license plates. It always encourages me that I am not alone, and that there are Christians around every where I go. Plus the Harvest Crusade is coming up in a few months and thousands come out to this crusade because they saw a sticker and went to this crusade. It happens every year! I love that something as simple as a Christ-centered sticker can change lives. Lets keep on shining for the Lord! Because people are watching, every where, especially when your driving.
oh thats cool GodsRose! im glad that people actually are influenced by stickers lol x] "Lets keep on shining for the Lord! Because people are watching, every where, especially when your driving" i so agree!
Ya, i have to aswell PHBOI. But thats cuz we love Scriptures! lol. Think of who the target audience is for on those plates/stickers.. non-believers. uk? But you have a point there happy_panda! yet do we hear testimonies of people being saved by a bracelot or a Christian postcard? not really :/, HOWEVER, they are part of the seed planting, like GodsRose said :)
I like em. Ima pimp out my car for Jesus. granted, that it isnt an outreach event, I always get motivated when I see a cool bumper sticker. Its to encourage Christ followers as well
@jake, please look up the word "pimp" - it definitely doesnt mean "to make cool" and it definitely shouldnt be used in any cheap context like that, slang is of the world.
Or I believe our bumper sticker said "If youre living like theres no hell, you better be right"...which would prob make a non believer think in traffic.
