we were talking about formspring.me today at FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), just on what people thought about it. So, out of curiosity, i thought it would be interesting to see what C28ers think about it :)
Personally, i think its just asking for harsh comments, which leads to drama (which is lame :P aha)

is an anonymous question/answer thing... so someone who has one could basically ask or say anything to anyone else who has one, and they can say anything back. supposedly it was made to benefit people so that you could get to know people without judging them by how they looks, but it basically turned into a place where people usually end up saying bad things about each other.
i hope that all made sense :)

i think for the most part, its really mean... a lot of people say super rude things anonymously on there and i can tell that it can get really discouraging for some people... on the other hand, i just try to send out encouraging and specific anonymous comments to random people who come to mind sometimes lol xP

yeah the idea of it seems innocent and fun, but when i see the questions ppl are asking my friends its not so innocent and not so fun. ppl are really mean for no reason, either that or they just ask stupid, inappropriate questions.

yeah, and like Vanessa said, they usually end up on facebook, and depending on the comments it could really hurt some people :/

But ya. i may get one of these to just spread the Good News to these ppl who are lost and are abusing others..
Would me joining and be kind and uplifting help this situation? or no? idk if my presence there would be of any benefit.

@Japlace i think that just spreading the good news anonymously might not be very effective on a site like that but i think that sticking up for the people (who you know in real life hopefully lol) who are being harassed on there anonymously and sending them positive messages that reflect Christs love may be even more powerful and uplifting for them and may make them more receptive to the Good News once they figure out its you whos sending them x] idk if that made sense lol

i think that would be legit :) just to go around and say stuff like "no matter what people say about you, theres always someone that thinks youre completely beautiful, and his name is Jesus! :D"
but then youll get the contradicting atheists, but Jesus dealt with some crazies too :) aha

you can see pretty much everything if you "stalk" them lol... you can kinda figure out the situations by stalking their formsprings hahah xP
it worked for me with this one girl... at least it made her open up/talk to me more hahah XD

Formspring.me is actually pretty interesting.I think its a great way for all of us to share Christ.Its interesting what kind of questions people come up with,too.I like to be the one answering peoples questions about Yeshua/Jesus.I think its sad how some people go about on Formspring posting harmful "questions" to people.Then,that person is targeted for cyber bullying.Yet,we could always bring Jesus to all of the people in the situation.Which is awesometastic.I have a formspring which I just answer random questions and questions about God.If I get a harsh question,I would go to that persons page and ask them a question(not being mean,of course).I think formspring is also a great way to connect with new people.
