He is what we live for, and He should consume our thoughts.
There is a time to loosen up and have fun, but theres also a time to give respect and recognition, and devotion to the most important aspect of this entire life.
That person is Jesus Christ.
It was brought to my attention that we truly dont devote our attention to Him as much as He deserves. Sure, we reference His Words, and we give thanks for when He has done something good. But we should give praise to Him ALLL the time!
So i beseech you, post anything about our Lord here.
A story, or testimony.
A song, or praise.
A word of His Beauty.
A prayer.
A question.
A concept for His ministry.

Anything.
Jesus is LORD!!!! :D He died for us, so why not live for Him?

Jesus saved me from the dark world of the party life and alcohol. He set me free and opened not only my eyes but my heart to the greatness and love that He is. I will forever praise His name and thank Him for all that he has done, is doing, and will do for me in my life!

Thats not the point. Japlace is right. Everything we do say write etc... should be about God and glorifying God. If we love him as much as we say we do, we wont look at stuff and say "I know why thats there" but take that oprotunity to give praise to God.
When I was born I has Asthma. I could hardly do naything at all with about having an attack. when I was 5 years od Jesus healed me from asthma and it hasnt bothered me since. Now i donce before God with all my might in a drama team making His word know. I love my Jesus =)

No, that IS the point. What would happen if Christians never talked about anything that wasnt directly about God? Ill tell you what would happen. Unbelievers would think that being a Christian must be a real downer and sooo boring becuase Christians never do anything interesting. I believe having clean fun is a good witnessing tool.

What do kids love to do? they love to have fun! and be around people who have fun! :) Jesus had children RUNNING to Him. Now when i see children running to someone, its usually the funny, relaxed person that isnt all serious, but is a real person.
Jesus was that person.
We are Christians. We are to be like Him.
Every word that comes from our mouth should praise God. Now that doesnt mean every word that comes from our mouth should be "Lord we just praise You we just wanna Lord,Father thank You, God, Lord, Healer, We love You, Lord, and Father we jsut just wanna thank You Lord, Father." It shouldnt be like that...
The POINT here is that Jesus is not the way You may think. He is fun, loving, "easy going".
This thread isnt bout being "serious", its about taking the wall of whatever down thats keeping You in this "the only way that Jesus is with You is when ur on ur knees and talking in the King James Version."

From a Christians point of view, ya, it can be a lot of fun to talk about Jesus and discuss the Bible (I think its awesome and I can have a ton of fun doing that). Im just saying that non-Christians are definitely not going to find it as interesting as you or I do.

I believe that we can act so that people see theres something different about us, but I dont think that means EVERYTHING out of our mouth needs to be about him. The things we DONT say can be what they see as different (profanity, anger, meanness).

I didnt say that christans had to always say something directly about God. But why does it matter why a topic was started or if there is a reason behind it? especially when it is one that the purpose is to praise God. Yes we can have fun and goof off but we should also whatch what we say so others can see that we are different.

Everything we say must "represent" Him. not directly toward him but nothing thats unacceptable. And yes somethines it is the things we dont say I agree but we need to watch what to say, know when to and not to speak, and control our tounges, and know when to talk directly about God and when to indirectly.

we cant forget the bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks...So what ever is overflowing in our heart it will come out of our mouths thats why we need to clean our hearts daily rather then change what we say because that is the root of the problem...Also I wanted to say a quote I got from a book I am reading that is soo awesome!The book is called "one minute bible for starters"
It says on page 64 the chapter is called critics corner

And as brothers and sisters in Christ we need to make sure we help each other...If we will ever be able to carry our cross daily we have to make sure that we get out of our comfort zones.. to even have the strenghtn to drag our flesh(the part of us that does not like the things of the spirit) to Jesus

please help me to grow in you daily and put all of my trust in you...And stop leaning on my own understanding like I seem to do a lot...But seek your kingdom first instead of having the laundry list of things that I think I need...But Let me say like paul "Now that I have known the Love and resurection power of Christ my love for the crowd died long ago". God help me not to be in love with the crowd or seeking the approval of my critics. But instead be like mary magdelene and be at your feet with my box of alabaster.And God I am going to give you by best! Because you gave me the best you had when you gave me Jesus...Thank you God! Because God I want to show inwardly your goodness and outwardly your fruit! God I know I have sooo many weakness but God your grace is sufficient..God your patience with me is amazing...I reverence you God...I want to be like you..And Hear is my here is my mind,heart, and my life...I submitt...for too long I have been trying to control my life with your rules..But I just be in your presence and stand still and know that you are God..Help me God....I pray in Jesus name Amen

I use to be empty and hurting inside and looked to so many things to fill that void like "drinking,money,masturbation, friends,popularity, boyfriends". But I realized that If I want truth, Love, Life it is in Jesus....And I finally let go of the world on June.18th,2009 And I am shaking up my highschool for the kingdom of God...But I think right now I have allowed the enemy to put sooo many distractions..I miss in the begining of my walk the way I Loved god And totally submitted...Now I feel like that church Jesus was talking about in the second chapter of revelations where he said "you are going hard for the gospel and still serving me even after soo much persecution, Yet it saddens me that you have forgotten about your first Love". I need to return back to my first Love which is Jesus Christ and give him everything I have....Because he is worth it
