I listen to very little of it. I have a friend who is extremely obsessed with christian screamo though. I think some of it is definitely not so good, but theres plenty of it thats fine too.

I love it. It is not the devils music. That sounds like what my dad was told when he was my age, cuz he wasnt listening to all christian music.

if its truly "Christian" then its not devils music. look at the actual message theyre giving and look at their lifestyle.

Someone said something like that to me too. I just ignored it, but I dont really listen to much screamo anyway. I loooove Christian rock though! I pretty much agree with the points made by Kaitlynn and Josi om this

Hard rock isnt really my taste. I love flyleaf and skillet though! Those two bands def arent the devils work.

I think that Christian metal is a great alternative for people who like the style of music but dont like the lyrical content of secular metal! Im all for it!

i listen to very little of it but i left a cd at my church, it was my friends though, it was the devil wears prada band and my pastor found it and freaked out.... He told me he didnt want me to listen to that kind of music.. especially since im the Youth leader. So yea

well, i dont listen to the devil wears prada, but ive heard a lot that theres "no such thing as Christian rock" i obviously dont agree, but its nothing against them. do you think he possibly freaked out just cuz it had "devil" in the name? Plus sometimes it takes a while to understand what screamo songs are actually saying so if he even happened to listen to the songs i can understand why he had the reaction. Like i said before tho, its about the lifestyle and actual message the song is giving. If dwp really is Christian, maybe try to show your pastor the lyrics and clear things up. Maybe he still wont agree, but just have respect throughout the whole thing.

tdwp is definitely christian lol x] i agree with Josi. Why can a certain genre of music be singled out as "devils music" if its lyrical content reflects Christian values and glorifies God just like, say, praise and worship music?

i LOVE metal/hardcore/screamo! when i find a band i first read lyrics. if it is difficult to tell (metal songs are super poetic and could mean a million different things) i will look at what label they are on. normally bands on the solid state label are safe. i do enjoy admittedly secular metal too. killswitch engage is not profane or obscene. 90% of my metal is "christian metal"...its not hard to find.. also, the devil wears prada IS a christian band. you cant say they arent based on their name. thats like saying demon hunter isnt a christian band because "demon" is in their name.haha people assume that because a band is metal they are all like ozzy or gwar or something...my mom freaked out when i began listening to hard stuff. just let them read the lyrics.

yea i told my pastor that if he would read the lyrics it would show the meaning.. You can know someone by their fruits.... but his issue is that the screaming isnt prasing God cause it sounds demonic.

Demonic things dont have sounds. They are actions. Demonic things can be the action of parent abusing his/her child, the action of someone being denied something that they rightfully deserve, etc.

I love christian rock/screamo/heavy metal. Its amazing lol my mom doesnt care because she knows that it is christian but she doesnt like it lol
