To believe in ghosts you would have to accept the "immortal soul" doctrine which is not a Biblical teaching.

Thanks guys! Awhile ago i used to be afraid of the dark and what i thought was in the dark. I used to think that ghosts were just waiting till i fell asleep to grab me up! lol but i memorized 2 timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear but of courage love and self discipline. and that really turned things around. im not afraid on tiny bit now. I think that fear of ghosts and everything like that is just the devil trying to make you doubt. Jesus Christ gave us authority over demons, we dont need to be afraid of them! :)

Angels and demons do exist, but not ghosts, but that doesnt change the fact that ghost stories still scare me. And the dark, dont forget the dark...

I use to be really into the ghost thing and use to watch the show Taps ghost Hunters all the time. But I come to realize Satan will do anything to distract someone from the word of God! When u watch these ghost shows is the footage real? Yeah some is! Are they ghosts? Nope! more less satan giving them enough of what they want to keep them interested! Satan can even give people some powers to see the future not saying all people who claim can, but there really are people who can which abilities are totally demonic.Bottom line is anything that will get u away from the word of God and get ur attention u better believe the enemy will be behind it.

I used to watch Ghost hunters too. Its really hard to believe the stuff on tv because they can make ANYTHING look like its the real deal. But i totally believe that satan uses our fears, any fears, to bring us away from God because if we fear something, we arnt trusting God. We have to overcome our fears!! :)

i wouldnt watch tv at all if i were you guys.
im pretty sure paul at some point says that to be absent of the body is to be present with God or something. so your spirit is either in your body or in heaven.

I think ghost is just a non-believers term for an angel or a demon - but i do believe.
Ive seen things happen, ive seen people after they have passed on, the last time i saw my Nan alive i saw a white entity floating above her...so i definitly belive in these spirits. But yeah, wouldnt necessarily call them ghosts. We have angels watching over us ;)

@ seekgodnow I couldnt help but notice in another post u were stating God gives us things even though they are not important and I believe u said he even gave u ur computer and yet u state on here u think no one should even watch tv! If personally watching bad tv is a personal problem for you and keeps u from God then u should refrain from it but dont come on here suggesting that watching all tv is bad and somehow is forbidden and no one should watch tv at all!

it should be obvious that not everything we have is a good gift from God... or we could never look at hitler with all his guns and tanks and say he was a bad man for using them like he did.
when i said God gives us things that arent important, i meant Good things. is TV good? no. no. no. it is the worst form of entertainment i can think of.
and why are you comparing the use of a computer (which you are Completely unaware of what i meant when i said "i believe God cares if i have it [the computer] or not because i use it like i should" ) to sitting in front of a TV and starring at a screen? i have full control of my computer - i have ads blocked and images disabled on every website but the ones i choose to allow it on, i am careful. but with television, you can only change the channel to control your viewing...or Turn It Off. try to tell me of ONE channel that Jesus WOULD watch. disney? no, not nowadays for sure. nickalodein? nott nick at nite, and what about animal planet? where animal cruelty gets all the attention instead of Human cruelty? and whatever else there is that TV shows teach and get your attention with - how often would Jesus like it? please just try to tell me of one channel Hed like, you know Hed never sit down to spend hours on that and would instead be up and preaching!
you really should, and i think need to, learn more about how terribly terrible TV affects our society. it is a window to all human thinking, and Everyone stares at it, looking into it, learning it. so many shows are against God in so many ways, and there are many many studies that show there are Direct correlations to societys problems and the bad things on TV.
ive got no problem with a little entertainment... but it Definitely depends on what it is. TV is bad entertainment 99.99% of the time. try me on that, too.
and this is quite uncalled for,

all i said was "i wouldnt watch tv at all if i were you guys." - where did i say it was forbidden? i dont condemn anyone for watching tv. where did i say no one should watch tv at all? if you pay attention to the context of the post, i am talking about watching things on TV that are no good, such a "ghost" hunting things. and it was a mere suggestion as you said... watching tv just isnt the greatest way to spend your time, and you surely know this.
but this thing with TV is not your problem with me, what is? why do you act like this?

all i can say is i used to be sooo afraid of the ankle grabber. i owuld wake up in the middle of the night, and then JUMP like four or five feet away from my bed so he couldnt catch me, and vica versa getting in. lololol.

Sure I have complete control of my tv like iu said its not hard to change the channel! Have u ever heard of christians or gospel channels my friend? I am a big fan of the history channel to and some shows as well as documentary shows! And now these days they have a thing were tv shows and channels can be blocked too just like the internet. And u should have been more clear on the fact u meant bad shows u just suggested tv in general if I recall! I remember past posts on some of your views saying Christians also not participate in sports which is crazy! So the reason I brought up u saying we ought to not watch tv was due to the fact there is a lot of younger Christians on here and who are still young in their faith and I dont want them seeing that someone who is posting we ought to not watch tv or even play sports. Sorry it seems u took this real personal it seems like, and are sensitive I in no way meant harm but when I see things like this it bothers me. If you would of mentioned only some tv and not all it would of made a big difference!

I agree with the majority of the rest of you guys. Ghosts are a buncha bologna, but demons are real. (so are angels, but demons are the ones that ppl think are ghosts)
