ALOT OF GANG PEOPLE I KNOW SAY THEY ARE HATED BY SO MANY OTHERS JUST BCUZ THEY ARE GANGSTERS... NOW MY QUESTION IS.. SHOULDNT WE AS CHRISTIANS THINK DIFFERENT AND TALK DIFFERENT ABOUT GANG MEMBERS? WHY I HAVE THIS QUESTION BECAUSE I ALSO KNOW THAT SOME CHRISTIAN PEOPLE I KNOW TALK REALLY BAD TO THEM AND DONT TRY TO SHOW GODS LOVE IN THEM..WHAT SHOULD WE AS CHRISTIAN PEOPLE REALLY DO??

I myself have been around and knew a lot of gang members and or clicks who consider themselves gangs, and being from Detroit a lot of people have a different mind frame and a way of living. But like anyone else they are Gods children and need to be reached and treated with the same love you would show anyone else. And about doing something about them you really need to talk to them one on one and find out what their motives are for being in a gang, it might be for protection or so they can get money to survive or they were fatherless and need leaders or the feeling of being accepted.Bottom line they need God like we all do and need to be shown the love of Christ because Im guessing they never had anyone treat them respectfully and loving.

Hate the sin, not the sinner.

The issue with reaching out to gangs is that a mass majority of them are dangerous. As much as sometimes it is not the case I think that it is the responsibility of the parents of children to keep them out of this situation so that people like us can can reach them more easily. Now i am not saying that we can not reach gang members, its just much more difficult and dangerous.

extremely agreed.

Granted it is dangerous, but Lord willing, He will use the correct tool to reach out to them.
An example of this is:
If you sent someone who has been raised in a military lifestyle for their entire life *me*, (been blessed by the health benefits, the steady paycheck, the housing, the schooling, the lifestyle that the US Military offers, ect. We hold a different struggle than those who are out in the civilian world) to people who have lived in that specific lifestyle to speak of "the wonderful gift God has for you", that person would probably be struck down immediately. Their testimonies would not make sense or really matter to them.
Now to send someone who has been where the lost have been, suffered the same struggles they have gone through, to share the testimony to those who can address to, it is much more beneficial for their understanding of their salvation.
Justin would probably have much more of an advantage of speaking to someone gang affiliated than I would. We both love and worship the same Lord, but we are two completley different people with completely different testimonies.

Jesus talked with prostitutes and associated with the "lowly." I agree it is dangerous when ministering to them, however I believe it must be done by someone. and if it isnt getting done we as Christians should step out (if called to) and take that risk. Sorry if that sounds fanatical or whatever but Jesus died a crazy death so I think we can minister to them.
