My parents bought me a purity ring, since they gave it to me I have kept it on. They told me to where it on my ring finger until I get married. Then replace it with my wedding ring. Well my advice to all young teenage girls don't have sex be for marriage and don't kiss a guy before you marry. Save all of the love and kisses for your husband. I may be young but my parents have taught me good. I you need help watch the moive "Pamela's Prayer". It is really good. It is about a girl who waits until she is married to kiss a guy. She never even dated. It's by Dave Christiano Films.

I actually know quite a few couples who waited until their wedding day for their first kiss. It can be done!

I've heard of people have waited till their wedding day for their first kiss. As for dating, did the movie show that she courted, or was there absolutely nothing in the line of going out with the guy and getting to know him? There has to be something, whether it's dating or courtship; you have to get to know the person, and WELL--and yes, that does mean that you have to spend SOME time alone together.
As for the purity ring, there is no hard and fast rule about where it should be worn. The left ring finger is a popular idea and one that I follow as well, but it's certainly not violating anything to wear it on another finger--I just wanted to clarify that because I know some people have issues with wearing any ring on that particular finger before engagement or marriage.
And finally, I'm really glad to hear about your committment! Stay strong :)
