Hello! I go to a nazarene church. They believe that women can be pastors, which I think is pretty fantastic! It's true! My youth pastor is a woman. In my most recent chat with God, I found out that I have a calling to youth ministry! Craziness! I am super scared but super excited. However, I have been told everywhere except church that Women can't be called into ministry and it must be a mistake. What do you think about that? Thanks.

I believe that God can use anyone, man or woman. Search the Scriptures; you will find many examples of God working through women. It doesn't matter what other people say. If God has called you into something, it will come to pass!

Yes, God can use anyone, but I don't believe it is biblical for women to become pastors or to have that authority over men (1 Timothy 2:12). It is not the role God gave us, men are to be the leaders, women arent meant to lead churches if that's what you are talking about. Not to say that women can't teach or be involved in ministry. We can teach under a pastor who is a man, but we cant just up and lead a church or congregation on our own. Not that we aren't capable, it's just not the way God made things. Like with marriage, women aren't the ones called to be the leaders of their family. Even though unfortunately, some have no choice and are forced to. Does that make sense? Women can definitely be involved in ministry, teach other women and be invited to teach a congregation, but we just can't have that authority of leading a church.

What makes you think that He doesn't? Women can be called to ministry, including youth ministry, and women are called to ministry. They are just not called to the office of pastor.

Just rely on what you know God has told you. I'm not sure about if women are "supposed" to be pastors really. It's totally Biblical and the way God created us, for the man to be the head and the leader. That's just God's design. I encourage you to search the Word of God and spend lots of time in prayer. He will guide you as you trust in Him.

Yeah i get that, but its not like i was called to be a teaching pastor and completely lead a church. i am just going to work with youth.
