Well, my parents decided, when we were still pretty young, that they were not going to push the whole santa/easter bunny thing because they wanted us to believe them when they told us about Jesus. They never like made it a point to be like super corrective over it. They just kinda let us think what we wanted about that unless we specifically asked. They did the stocking thing, but we always knew our parents filled them. As a matter of fact, we would get confused when people would ask us "what did santa bring you" - we would just look at our parents like "whats this guy talking about?" and our parents would be like "well, what did you get for Christmas?" lol - They did, though (obviously), tell us who Jesus was.

Well, my parents never told me and my siblings that Santa was the "bringer of Christmas gifts" either. And I think that's good. Why would you tell your child a lie just to break their heart once they are "old enough to understand"? It's okay to joke about it, but kids should know that it isn't really Santa who gives them gifts. And btw, it doesn't take away from the fun of Christmas" or the "Magic of childhood"

Tell 'em he's some fat guy that eats their cookies, and they'll learn to hate him pretty fast.

ahahaha

Wait, what do you mean Santa doesn't exist? Everything I know is a lie!

KingsKid - 5/22/12 @ 9:26 AM

@Japlace-Really that sucks dude. Also did you mean to put the huge gap there?

Gabriella - 5/22/12 @ 11:58 PM

@john, maybe that was kind of: my post was THIS long;P

Japlace - 5/27/12 @ 3:40 PM

Yeah, sorry. I am feeling way too lazy to type it again, haha. But I have similar views on it as Stephanie. Similar experiences as well.

Annnnd, yeah the gap was intentional ;P
