During prayer i hold a cross. Is this idolatrous? I don't pray to the cross just hold so i don't think so but like always i'm open to your guys's opinion.

I don't think it's idolatrous, but it does seems a bit like a ritual. I'm going to say that it's fine, just don't make it an idol.

I guess yo really just need to figure out why you hold the cross when you pray? I mean, if you are holding it because you think it somehow makes your prayer more "heard" or whatever, than that would be putting your faith in the cross in your hand rather than God. If you are just holding it for no reason, well than that is different (of course though, it seems that there has to be some reason for doing so) - You just have to figure out what that reason is and then address that, because whatever the reason is, it is the real issue (if it is an issue, lol).

Yeah, I would just tell you to ask yourself why you hold a cross when you are praying. DO you do it everytime? DO you feel like you can't pray without your cross?
