There was a bomb scare at work today. They had to evacuate us to the jury parking lot (I work at the court house).
I know this doesn't seem very "light hearted" but this little recess really was something we kinda all laughed about once we were outside. Thursdays are drug court days, and we frequently have bomb threats and scares on drug court day. So its kinda like a joke (even though it feels pretty serious as you run down the stairway). But, basically its a guranteed 30 minutes (at least) of time that you get to leave your work station and go outside and chill with your co-workers while being paid for it. :P Needless to say, my day was interesting.
As for hobbies, I like to crochet! I think I am going to go get some yarn and make myself a blanket!! :)

My hobby is birdwatching. I have been doing it for several years now. I go with a group of birders to local nature preserves and wildlife areas and find and identify as many species we can. It is a good way to get outdoors. My place is likewise decorated with all sorts of bird "stuff" - pictures, statues, figurines, plates, etc. Every room has something.

@KingsKid my favorite birds are raptors or birds of prey like hawks, falcons, owls, kestrels and the like; I can never get tired of looking at those; I am not big on hummingbirds, just not my thing

Wow, Steph! That sounds pretty wild. I think I would be soooo freaked out if that happened to me, but thank goodness everything turned out fine!

Im trying to live up to Santa Barbara, CA from where im living now in the middle of nowhere in san diego county so my hobbie right now is being on the computer looking for a job, a house for me and my animals :), and looking into schools. i have such a fun life... hahah i wish any of u guys lived close i need roommates! awesome God loving ones :)

@SITS: Those birds are really cool. I like eagles and falcons, too. It's amazing that the peregrine falcon is the fastest animal on the earth. It dives up to 200 miles per hour.

I have 6 dogs 5 cats and a bird. And I use to raise pigs and steers for FFA. Haha.

@Amber: I think we're both in the animal lover category. X) I have one dog, but we also have two other dogs. There are five cats and lots of sheep, goats, horses, cows, a llama, and a mule here. Pigs actually are really smart and have quite an interesting character, eh?

@kingskid-OMG!!!!!!! u have a llama! i am so jealous now.... i want a llama so badddd!!! hahah i miss having my own lil farm. i am defiantly going to when i get older and i will have a llama.... hahah yea people think pigs r so dumb but i had to train mine so they r pretty smart :)
