You can drive the highways, so long as you know what exit you need!!!
You can ALWAYS find a 24-hour diner!!
you NEVER pump your own gas!!!
You Can travel to NYC, Philadelphia, or Washington DC for a day trip at any given time!!
It's pretty great!!

I live in Virginia, which in my opinion is a boring state, the closest big city is Washington DC which from where I am is a 3 hour drive away. I want to live in the city lol

@Amber - I am 13 miles from Los Angeles which is where I work. Housing is pricey. I am really thankful for the place I rent now. $800 a month for a one bedroom is really good for around here!

I'm from Canada--Ontario, in fact. We get to choose whether we want to pump our gas, or have it done for free :)
I live 15 minutes from the world's longest freshwater beach, in prime skiing country.

I live in Western Canada, where we DON'T have big freeways and everything is small town and you have to drive for quite a ways to get anywhere.

@spirit in the sky- I'm jealous, I'd LOVE to live in southern California, especially the Los Angeles area. Warm weather, lots of stuff to do, the beach is nearby and 6 major sports teams :)

i live in the city, we do have any C28 stores out here, really wish we did though, i'd totally work there (and i normally try to stay away from retail).

On the pumping your own gas thing, it has a disadvantage. That being that if I ever took a road trip, I'd look a fool the first time my tank was running low. LOL!

Yeah, pretty much. The attendants get themselves in a tizzy if you try to do it yourself. Like sometimes it stinks if the gas station is busy, because you have to wait for the attendants to work all the cars at like 4ish pumps. So you could be "done" filling up for like 5 minutes before they come and take your money or put your gas cap back on (if you paid by credit card). lol

Its nice when its freezing cold or raining/snowing, though, and you get to stay in your car all warm and toasty. Then its like, who cares if I have to wait!! lol
