How does one remain a Christian and avoid being taken advantage of or have guilty feelings of being used?

Well, as a Christian we are to be loving and give, but Jesus also drew the line at some point too. He chased them out of the church. Guilt is not a good feeling and it is a spirit trying to work on you to feel mierable and to give in. Ask God to give you strength and to know when to draw the line with people. You can do it, Spirit in the Sky, don't let the feelings og guilt get you down. hope this helped. :)

Remember Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." Stand strong in the Lord; He can give you the strength and power to overcome everything that the enemy tries to throw against you.

I can relate to your struggle. It's hard to know what to allow, and what is too much. It's hard to say "no". But if you don't, the guilt is definitely going to come.
If you have made mistakes, remember that God does forgive. He can wash away the pain of regrets--and this is something that I struggle with, because I can't actually forgive myself.
If you've been taken advantage of, know it's not your fault, and you're not in it alone. I know what it's like, and so do many, many others. It's not something to be ashamed of--it's not your fault!--but it is something that you can learn from and choose to avoid in the future.

[on a side note, I think it's cute that these three ladies are commenting on this ;P Considering we know each other...)

well, i have a friend who is the nicest guy i know, hes catholic, and he is literally husband material. remember that being nice now will make a huge difference for when your older! saddly, there are people that will talk advantage of that, and you just have to be careful. trust in Christ and you will be alright (:
