I myself have had that happen to me, and it was a song called "Not Alone" by Red :)...amazing song! and I recommend it to anyone who has felt alone or has had some difficulties in life :)
Concrete Angel (Martina Mcbride), I'm Gonna Love You Through It (Martina Mcbride), Just A Dream (Carrie Underwood), I Wonder (Kellie Pickler), My Angel (Kellie Pickler), and I'm sure theres some more I just cant think of them right now! :)
Time Machine by The Cog is Dead. Such a lovely story (steampunk setting) about a husband/father who wants to explore the world where no one has explored before on a flying ship he built, and the chorus' is his letter to his wife as his ship is being attacked by pirates.
I came accidentally on his album closer, never heard about him. saw that title and i started crying.. listened to it with tears in my eyes.. it changed my mind!!

Actually one secular song used to get to me a lot whenever I heard it. It is an old song called "Cats in the Craddle" by some guy. It covers the story about how a father never had time for his boy when he was young and, later in the song, the roles get reversed and the now man has no time for his now elderly father. It is pretty sad and I am sure a lot of people can relate to it. It still gets to me.

Anyway, to "Mighty To Save", I was at camp the other weekend, and on our last night there, we had communion together, and just threw a huge party, celebrating what God had done over the weekend, all the kids who had given their lives to God, and just the way the Holy Spirit had been working in all our lives that weekend; and at the end of it all, we gathered around the campfire and sang "Mighty To Save". It was anything bug perfect, but I was honestly in tears; it was so amazing!

The two songs that always break me down are:
Lead Me to the Cross - Seventh Day Slumber
and
Worth It All - Rita Springer
If you need songs to life you up when you are having a bad day, I definitely suggest those two!
