Ok, I read a verse in Peter chapter 3 that said something along the lines of "husbands, be good to your wives because they are weaker than you." This is something I really stuggle with. I fully believe in all of God's word so it bothers me when I find something that I have trouble understanding. I know that wives are supposed to be submissive to their husbands, I'm not saying that they are supposed to just do everything their husbands tell them to but rather let the man be the leader in the household. I've come to terms with that but I hate the thought of being weaker than someone. It really bugs me, and maybe it's just my pride getting in the way. Either way, does anyone have some advise or insight in this area??

I know its hard for a women to read this and not get all fussy, if we go back to when eve was first decieved and disobeyed God certain things took place because of a result of that like child pain birth and so on. But no way shape or form does this verse mean that women are weaker in faith,or is not equal to men. This is just simple instructions to men telling us to be patient with our wives in areas of weakness in nature. For example we all know women are generally more emotional than men so a time may come when something such as a womens self confidence is under attack and they act out or are not themselves, this verse instructs us men to be understanding of this form of weaker nature in this situation. Same for men somethings of our nature women need to understand and be patient to their husband..

This verse also talks a lot about how the man is to relate to his wife, which is meant to also be a picture of the way Christ relates to the church. So, women being the "weaker of the two" is not a downgrade or a negative thing about women, but is also a picture of Christ relating to "the weaker" bride of Christ or the church.
When the Bible talks about marriage, there are always tons of parallels to Christ and the church. :)
