well it is not a sin to not pray for someone. and actually its not a sin to not pray for ourselves!
Prayer is what you do when you are talking to God. Prayer can be a request to God, a conversation with God, a time of sadness or mourning when we are sad and need to talk, and most of all prayer is how we can ask Jesus into our hearts.

Sadly most people dont pray. not only do they not pray enough, but the arent praying. period.

The best thing we can do on this earth is pray, worship God, and read His Word. and if we are doing any of these, then we are on the right track!
But if we dont think their enough, then were proly not doing them as much as we should.

With that said,I do not think we are praying enough. And especially for those of us we profess Jesus Christ as Lord, we need to be praying A LOT more. cuz we know we should, but we are too tired, or we gotta do something else, or well do it later, or blah blah blah.

We need to set aside the excuses, and be set apart!

In conclusion (altho there is a lot more to be said on this topic) the Bible says to pray WITHOUT ceasing. And even if i am not following this all the time (which i am not, and its a EVERYDAY battle for me to pray) we are still called to it. and its our privilege to be able to send our prayers to our Creator :)

I agree with Japlace. We dont pray enough, and yes, WE. I know I dont pray as much as I really need to. But we all need to get the attitude of prayer and worship back. It is how we connect with God, speak with Him, lift Him up, and lay our burdens at His feet.

So, lets pray, pray, pray! :)

yup :)

Lay your burdens and His throne
For He will calm your groan
Whether in the day, or in the nigh
His love will calm your every cry

There is no reason for these quakes
Maybe i wont decide to awake
But as i lay dying
I hear His voice arising

We need to lift our praise
And live for Him all of our days
With God there is nothing to portray
Just get on your knees and pray, pray, pray!

I just wrote that :)
Your words of praying at the end there, Kendra, got me a thinking! :D
Its kinda good, eh? i think its a keeper :)

Its crazy because muslims are really devoted to their religion, they pray I think 5 times a day and it doesnt matter where they are,or who they are with, they pull out the rugs or cloths I think it is and pray on the spot, it could be in the middle of a packed airport, on a bus...wherever.

Like someone said earlier, prayer is a conversation. Ive used it to get a lot of things off my chest for God to hear and I think thats what its for. If Ive got something I need to bring to Him, Ill take it to Him until Ive had my need met. Ive gotten used to if I need to pray in public, Ill just direct my thoughts towards that need while Im doing whatever that doesnt require my full attention (i.e. standing in line, but not driving). You could benefit from doing the same wherever, whenever you feel lead to.
