There's this guy (who's like one of my best friends) I've known him for almost 8 years now and we have gone off and on liking each other. 2 years ago I moved to a different state and we haven't seen each other since I left. He has liked me since we first met. Last year we had a long distance relationship going for a while but I felt I was doing it behind my parents back so I cut it off. There was other stuff involved but I got my phone taken away and my Facebook, so i haven't talked to him in a year. Ever since I meet him I have felt He was the "One". I'm much stronger in my walk with the Lord now and I don't want to focus on this guy. I wan't everything to be in his timing. In a few days I'm heading back to where he lives for a wedding and I wanted to see him, but my sister and his sister don't get along and she doesn't want to see her. So its hard but if the Lord want's me to see him he will show me but How do I just stay focused on the Lord and yet still like a boy? (hahaha all that for one question=)

Im going to give you my honest opinion, that would be to remain friends maybe a hi how ya doing every few months or so but dont pursue them. The bible never says that there is only person for us and that people were meant to be its simply not true. Focus on God becoming more spiritually mature and being radical for Jesus and things will fall into place. Plus if your parents dont want you talking to him you must obey your parents like God instructs you to. But i hope you make the right decision.

I agree with PutHisBloodOnIt. I know it's "easier said than done", but I find out more and more everyday just how true the verse Matthew 6:33 is: "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need."

Keeping your focus on Jesus is the most important thing at this time or your life. Realize that if this is in God's plan for your life, everything will work out. In ways that you could never even imagine! You might like to read the book "When God Writes Your Love Story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy. Very encouraging.

Speaking of books, "B4UD8 - Before You Date" (by Hayley & Michael DiMarco) is a good one.

Also speaking of books, "I kissed Dating Goodbye" is another fantastic one.
