The Pope is the "man of God appointed by God to 'rule' the Catholic church." Priests will openly denounce scripture if the Pope says so. He is considered "Christ on Earth" or "half man, half divine." He has more protection than the president of the US and the Catholic Church openly and literally worships him as he does accept worship. Also, many Catholics worship, bow, and pray to Mary. The Pope also openly does this. Praying with rosary beads is another practice in the Catholic church. They count the beads and say a prayer etc. They also believe priests can forgive sins and are the mediator between us and God. They forbid meat on certain days. They promote worshiping and praying to apostles, disciples and other Biblical figures.
I believe all these traditions and practices are wrong and against God and I have scripture to support m stance: (Mark 7:6-13, Psalms 118:8, Psalms 97:7, Exodus 20:4-5, Matthew 6:7, Isaiah 42:8, 1 Timothy 4:1-3, Matthew 8:14, Matthew 15:9, Matthew 23:8-11, 1 Timothy 2:5 and more). I am not trying to attack anyone who is Catholic, I just intend to point out obvious reasons why some Catholic traditions and practices are wrong. I know many Catholics who are good people that love God yet do not follow His word correctly.
Thoughts, opinions and scripture on the Catholic faith/tradition/practice/church?
