Well i stayed getting acne when i was like 13 or 14 and now im 21 and my acne is still here hanging around :/ and i feel like kinda bad if i ask god to help me with it since its just for me but the way feel about it is it keeps me from wanting to talk to people and being more out going, i am a pretty talkative person and funny but i do it more as a look at my personaly not my face kind of thing. So i was just kinda wondering if it wouldnt be a bad thing to just pray about and ask god to help me out with it cuz its not like something he made me with im trying to chnage its a problem that just wont go away no matter how many things i try. I am going to try to go back to the drs and see if they can give me something else cuz the stuff i was using just made it worse :/ and if anyone has anything they can share about this problem itd be great. thanx :)

Hello Amber,
You should never feel bad about asking God for something. Think of Him as that one person you can talk about absolutely everything. He knows our every need and he understands our personal needs. I'm 24 years old and I still have problems with acne and what I use is clean and clear and it works ok for me, I just have to use it every day. Every area of my life that I need help with I go to Him; and those are what make the biggest impact in my life, the little things God does for me. Hope this helps a little :) God bless!

i have acne problems, but my mom asked me once if i thought that maybe God gave me acne to keep me humble about my appearence, and i kinda think that may be the case with me.

God wants us to come to him with all our problems. No matter how large or small. If we are focused on something earthly, such as acne, how can we have our entire focus on him and bringing His kingdom to earth? We can't and for this reason we are to lay all of our burdens upon him. "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22 God is with you. :]

as for actual treatment of it some things i've learned about it are, 1. whenever you start a new treatment the acne may actually get worse right after you start it, thats because it takes awhile for your face to adjust to it, i think this can happen with make up to, 2. you can over treat, sometimes you treat your acne with things so much the treatment actually makes it worse, 3. tea tree oil can be used as a spot treatment on acne, i've found it works well for me.

There's nothing wrong with coming to God about issues your having with your personal appearance, Amber. He cares about every detail of your life, and every worry that comes into that brain of yours. He made your body, your skin, your pores, so of course He knows exactly what's going on with you, and what's more He ALREADY knows what you're feeling about the problem. It's better just to let it all out to the God who knows anyway.;) Remember, He wants to provide peace to you in circumstances that would normally cause frustration and worry.<3
Pray for wisdom on this issue, Amber. Acne IS a medical problem so there is a root cause somewhere. It took someone I know over a decade and a half to figure out WHY she was having the issues. The other docs simply wrote an rx script and didn't bother getting to the root. As for me, I had never had an issue with skin problems, but my health going haywire caused cystic acne (painful stuff!)Once the root issue was discovered, the problem improved week by week.
Here's some things you may want to consider:
-a hormone imbalance of any kind, including the thyroid
-candida (generally caused by improper diet- diet change helps A LOT with any medical condition, but especially this one)
-Your skin may not be able to slough off properly; a change in your cleansing regimen and rx is usually used here
-a vitamin or mineral deficiency could also be the culprit
Again, ask for wisdom on this issue, Amber, and rest in Him that He always, ALWAYS has the best solutions to your problems, girl.<3

my dr said she might prescribe me birth control for it and just for that so i wont be using it for anything else! haha but recently i started eating alot healthier cuz i want to get into shape so hopefully that helps and been washing it alot more but not to much or anything but yea im gonna talk to god about it like im sure if he wanted it gone he would do it cuz i remember reading somewhere in the bible that he could move a mountain into the ocean if he felt like it so i know he could take this stuff away but its all on his time and ive come to accept that alot more lately so ive been able to deal with it but still sometimes i just ask y?? haha

There is absolutely nothing wrong with going to God and telling Him about everything in your life including acne. :) He can give you wisdom on what to do. For me, if I don't take my vitamins, then acne really gets bad. Zinc, Vitamin B's, and Vitamin C are some of the most important ones for your skin to remain healthy. Maybe you could go to a healthfood store and see what they might have.
Amber - 8/11/11 @ 1:04 PM
hmm ok im taking these one a day vitamins and they havea bunch of vitamins in them but ill check to see if they have those in them, thanx.

Princess of God - 8/12/11 @ 5:12 PM
Accutane
daniel@seekGodnow.org - 8/13/11 @ 12:01 AM
don't take birth control pills, especially not for acne. you have a problem, that's what the symptom of acne means. so you should do something about it. take a look at your diet, your sleeping habits, and the products you use to wash, and look up the best alternatives to what you're currently doing. but birth control is not a good idea
Amber - 8/13/11 @ 1:51 AM
@Princess of God Idk about accutane it scares me hearing all the bad stuff bout it and my dr didnt say anything about that yet so hopefully something else works.
@daniel@seekGodnow.org Ive done everything other then take pills for it but nothing will work and my dr said for mine just washes wont work it needs to be fought from the inside. Why r u against birth control for just that? cuz trust me it will not be for anything else.
daniel@seekGodnow.org - 8/16/11 @ 8:28 AM
firstly because birth control doesn't solve any problems. especially not for acne. when you have acne, that means you have a problem. acne is not the problem, its a symptom of the problem. so if you want to cover up the symptoms, ok, but you should fix the problem, whatever it is. but birth control is terrible just because of what it is, and you'll have to keep using it for as long as you want your acne gone, if you don't fix the real problem. and honestly I don't have any idea how birth control can help with acne. seems like they just want you or your insurance to pay for more pills so that they make more money
Amber - 8/16/11 @ 3:04 PM
think it has something to do with hormones cuz it kinda messes u up a bit at first, what do u think i should try? anything medical?
daniel@seekGodnow.org - 8/16/11 @ 5:40 PM
nothing medical. think about these things:
do you eat well? like actually, not just simply having diet soda instead of regular soda, but rather no soda.
do you sleep and wake up at a good time? and get enough rest?
do you wash your face day and night?
ok and check out some natural treatments: http://www.acne.org/acne-home-remedies.html
Amber - 8/16/11 @ 11:07 PM
I don't drink soda so that's not it. And I've tryed every wash out there and just regular soap like right now I'm using dove cuz its really gental and that's not helping and no my sleep is a bit off but it hasn't always been like that so I don't think that's the cause either and I can check those out later but I've tryed a lot of nature stuff and it didn't work. Trust me I've tryed a lot. :/
