I was sent here by the devil, he said that if I stole a thousand souls, I could have access to the Fridge that contains the Insidious Mutton and the Unholy Cole Slaw.
Okay, not really.
I just saw that the site had forums, and thought "Cool!"
i love alpha being here! he keeps me on my toes! its good to have someone to help you develop your faith in the special way that alpha does..haha love you alpha...so does Jesus ;)
What made you stop believing in christ? I find it hard to believe that you can get away from the love of Jesus christ once you experienced it because it fills my life with purpose and joy. Therefore I cant really believe that you ever have experienced the love of christ. I know thats kinda straight forward, but thats how I am sometimes, right Nicole? :] You might think "well, but I used to be a christian and therefore a part of christianity, what does it have to do with experiencing the love of christ?". The thing is that christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with the creator of the universe, with YOUR creator, father, savior and friend and his love for you is so incredible and addicting that I really have a hard time comprehending that. Im kinda interested in what you believe in and why you think it makes sense.
Excuse me, if I made too many grammar mistakes or typos, Im German... yeah, sloppy excuse, I know.
I dont really think supernatural is a definition that can even compare to God. He isnt "magic, ghostly" in the sense that most use the term supernatural.
Well, if you think that faith in the supernatural is not logical, what do you think how logical your life is? And dont base it on randomness, atoms etc., instead think deeper. Why is everything in that atom-structure, I mean It could all be different. Why is it the way it is? Why are we the way we are? why is every person different and perfectly unique? Why do we long for love and deep satisfaction o four hearts? Why is the universe so huge and we so small? What is the purpose of being here in the first place? And if there is no purpose, why keep on living? Enjoying life? Well what happens after you die? nothing? Well, thatss encouraging.. You go to heaven? Well, what is that heaven like, and what makes you deserve going there? You will be come back as an animal? Why? Just some question I ask myself, and the one and only answer I found was Jesus. (and for goodness sake our God IS supernatural! Haha, he created everything, I know what you mean though, Paige)
• I find it funny that we have two sides 1. logic and reason 2. faith and mystery • We then say "choose your weapon" • Then we try to do battle with the other side in manner we know they arent equipped to battle
We want the logical person to answer/understand based on our faith and the logical person wants to show us how illogical that view is.
He doesnt only have the answers, he is there for you and loves you and leads your passion in the right direction. I know Im not gonna accomplish anything by doing this and you might enjoy debating with us, but I dont care. If you dont have christ and are lost, you wont understand.
Phillip- I understand why you believe it, I just cant accept it as factual. :)
Nicole- Mostly Agnostic. ...But I hope God is real. I just personally find it arrogant to claim what God is or is not(which is what religions do). And I think it is foolish to say that he undoubtedly exists.
Well, I respect your opinion, but I think Ill stop at this point, because I know that I cant convince anybody by debating on the internet. I pray for you and I love you, I hope that you will discover the truth and keep searching. You will find the truth someday, I hope it wont be too late by then. Have a good night.
I just have to ask Alpha, are you willing to stake your soul on the possiblity that God MAY not exsist? If you are truly searching for answers and not just going by what you feel like going by then I encourage you to read "A Case for Christ" and "A Case for the Creator" by Lee Strobel. He was an investigative journalist (in New York City I believe)and he set out to find evidence against Christ and God and in the end came to believe in both. His books dont give you "feely touchy" type of material but rather facts and information that is documented. Another author that had a similar experience was Josh McDowell and his books are set up in the same manner, facts not feelings. I hope you will take the time to pursue the truth, regardless of what it may be, for the sake of truth.

"What made you stop believing in christ?"
-Having blind faith in the supernatural isnt logical.

Paige- God, by definition, is supernatural. Supernatural meaning that it is not able to be observed by natural methods.
Phillip- If think the only answer is Jesus... you have bad math. :)

And glad to see you decided to join us Philip!!
I smiled HUGE when I realized you were on here!

Alpha-
If what you believe in cant be put into one category, would you explain your beliefs? Im intrigued.
Philip - 2/24/10 @ 6:13 PM
If you have a friend who has the answer for everything, you have anything but bad math.
