dos god tell you that he or she is the one in your spirit ? does god like dating christains ? and do you think that he or she should get to know your innerman first ? than get to you know you as you a human ? i know that we arent suppose to make the other person feel temted in any way but ive seen christains kiss and be touchy so is that fine i mean i know we are only human but i just want to know when i meet that person gos has for me ? and be nice to me its only a question =)

point being, wait for God to show you the right person and pray everyday about your future husband/wife and about your relationships with everyone, including boyfriend/girlfriend.

I think that God has a love story for each of us, even if it's not what we planned, God knows whats best for us. As for the kissing and stuff, I am waiting till marriage. I've kissed someone before, and I don't think it's wrong. I kind of look at it this way, if Jesus was standing right beside you, would what your doing dissapoint Him? If the answers yes, it's probably not appropriate lol. thats the guideline I keep.

I think that a person should get to know the other individual for at least a half of year. Find out who they are. Can you trust them? Are they mad when they don't get their way all the time? Is this person responsible? Do they believe in God? Are they loving all the time or do they pretend?
I would say that God leads each of us down our own path. That is why Trust is a must in our relationship with Him..."lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil". I say we should do what we feel right in our heart. Do our part to be the best we can and trust God that He will take the rest from there. Everyone is different and I strongly recommend saving sex for marriage.

I agree with you madetoburn. And yes, we should get to know the person and not rush into things. Pray lots about your future spouse and even someone you might be with now. Ask God for direction because He knows everything that is best for you! I also think that I want to court rather than date.

Courting is with the parents permission and dating is the opposite if that.

Well, this is how I think of it.
Courting: going out with someone, and knowing that this is a relationship that could lead to marriage.
Dating: I always think of it as a more casual attitude towards a relationship. Like, you aren't as serious. And some people date just to have a boyfriend or a girlfriend.
I think courting is dating with marriage in mind. Does that make any sense?
A good book to read would be "I Kissed Dating Goodbye". It is by Josh Harris and explains all about courting and dating in detail. By the way, it is written by a young guy and it isn't boring! There are lots of stories in included. :)

Thanks for explaining! I have courted one person then, and i think i do that without knowing it. Like if i like someone,before we start talking I think about how he would be as a husband lol. I know thats weird but it helps lol.

you should defintily know them for a year or so before you date them cuz for all you know they are reall nice but they have abusive dendencys that you didnt know about cuz you dont know them that well
