I ride my bike every day to the library and check out aprox 8 books and ride back home. Even if you don't read the books it is a good idea cause you can get more books as you get stronger.

take a run with friends and go on a photo shoot! Even if you do it everyday for a year it will never get old. Run to a park, someone's house, the gym, etc. As for muscles, there is no better and fun way to get stronger than playing on a playground. I know that it sounds stupid, but the younger kids will love to be pushed on swings and have an older kid they look up to there. Then make your dad or someone a bet that if you stop eating candy for a year then he will give you 100 dollars. That's my success story, and it didn't cost me anything. :)

I've been on a diet for health reason and let me say, I don't know how ANYONE can gain wait on it! I'm basically on a low glycemic index diet. I cut out sugar completely, and for some time, I decided to forgo eating foods naturally high in sugar (watermelon, bananas, etc.) The only fruit I ate was berries and green apples. I eventually had to add in more fruits because I was underweight for too long.

I think it's important to do these things for your health, and to create a "healthy temple" for your body. I would hate to see you on a miserable diet, and feeling miserable because of it.<3

Like I was saying- going low glycemic is a fairly easy way to shed a few pounds AND it's healthy for you. That's what's most important in my mind! Try trading in the processed foods for the real, whole foods. And toss the refined white grains for the healthy, whole grains. Going too low carb can zap the serotonin in your brain and REALLY make you feel lousy, so I would stick to the healthier carbs and just not eat them in excess.

One of my friends just lost about ten lbs. JUST from cutting out sodas alone. Sugar, corn syrup, and sugar cane juice are really bad for your health and for those trying to shed some lbs. You may want to try healthier options like honey, agave syrup, or xylitol (you can get this one from the health food store--AND it is not a fakey sugar sub.)

Sample foods to eat: sugar free organic yogurt. Toss in your own fruit, and if you so wish, make a smoothie by throwing in a couple of ice cubes and maybe even some honey.

Try cutting up a green apple and dip it in almond or organic peanut butter (my favorite snack)

Make a salad with greens, tomatoes, etc, and make your own vinegerette and garlic croutons-- croutons: whole grained bread evenly drizzled with olive oil and liberally sprinkled with garlic powder. Cut into crouton sized slices and place on cooking sheet. Heat it in the oven on 350 until it browns (about 10 min.)

And like madetoburn was saying, have fun with your workout! Play wii sports (if you have wii), get your friends together to play a b-ball game, or go out ice skating or dancing.

Just remember- you are gorgeous no matter your size. Getting healthy is what's important, not what size your jean label says. :)

I'm actually super glad you posted this alyssa, becuz I've been having the same prblm. I don't want to turn to unhealthy dieting, so I've been getting up every morning and going for a run. It's new but I'm kind of digging it. And if I get up early enough, I get to see this awesome sunset that God created, and i feel like it's being beautiful just for me. Lol I know that's not entirely true but it gives me some good motivation. (:

i didn't read all of the posts cuz they were super long and i was lazy so sorry if i repeat something lol

eat lots of protein, but make sure your proportions aren't too big. if you eat out they tend to give you too much food so just don't eat until your stuffed. eat until you're content.
eat 5 times a day. it keeps your metabolism up and keeps you from getting so hungry that you stuff yourself at each meal. this isn't 5 meals. this means breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, and NO late snacks!!!
try eating fruit first thing in the morning.
i am personally a huge fan of dancing. i dance my butt off whenever i get the chance x) i am also kind of wanting some abs but i hate crunches so i learned this spiffy little exercise from a 10 min work out dvd that's super quick and easy and has been keeping my mid section nice and trim =) unfortunately i can't really describe it well on here but at least i can suggest a 10min work out dvd! x) try doing something like that w/ friends. it makes it more fun and keeps you accountable and stuff.
those are all the tips i can think of right now. they're super easy and painless and have worked pretty great for me =) as long as you can keep up w/ a routine of some sort. hope it helps!

Not eating a lot of dairy products helped me several years ago. I love milk. I drank lots of it. :) So, cutting that down helped a lot. Like the others said make your exercise fun. I usually go for a walk with my dog and one of our other dogs. They do so many funny things; I never get tired of watching them! If you are really hungry, try eating a little more "main" course instead of dessert. And, yes, eating healthy snacks in between meals is good.

@Nic: that`s great you are discovering those awesome sunrises. Isn`t it just like God`s special gift for you?

@madetoburn haha lovee your story xP
for my pesonal exeprience, i became vegetarian(not obligated, just slow down on meat, as it is acid it slows your metabolism) and started to cut transfat, sodium, and high sugar-containing food. AVOID!!!!: junk food, "TV dinners", tim hortons, and microwaveable stuff. try eat more vegtebles and fruits. as for exercise start by walking, then do "fast walks, then jugging, running etc.
by doing that i lost 21 lbs in a month... =)
