Kind of a side topic, but relevant: is it true that there will be 40 days of hardships and such after you are baptized? That's what Jesus went through, right? People have told me that satan attacks hardcore after you're baptized. But super happy for you, Maryjane!!!! That's so exciting!
Well look at what Jesus said, he told us to rejoice when we are hated on account of his name because he was hated first, here is the verse luke 6:22-23 read it.
@Ariel are you referring to Jesus fast in the desert? Someone may encounter hardships or attacks by satan i would not rule that out, but also dont forget we are often tested by God.
@ both of you I started a bible study on Luke it would be very helpful to follow along its only 1 chapter every two days so we basically only read and study about a page and a half every two days, you can find Luke1 and Luke2 on the forum we just started so your not far behind at all.
Losing your faith is your choice because no one can ever take that away from you. I've come up against it a couple of times but I have to remember who saved me. Did my friend save my soul or did Jesus? It can be rough so try to get connected with other Christians your age. Don't push your old friends away either, because as you grow in Christ you'll start to shine brighter and it's good to have them near when you start shining because it'll make them wonder what's different.
Have you seen the movie To Save A Life? That's kinda what the main character went through and the change in him actually resulted in his girlfriend getting saved (that's actually in the book not the movie but you can see her change her stance in the movie).

Follow Jesus, take up your cross daily, read the gospels, do as Jesus did.
